Shamrock

29/11/2025: Went to Shamrock for breakfast and lunch two days in a row because it’s that good. Great portion sizes, good value, friendly owners, and the fish and chips are excellent, the fish is so fresh.
I’ll definitely be making a return!
21/11/2025: Without question, the Shamrock has the best breakfast/fry up in Dungarvan and an excellent menu overall.
The staff are always absolutely lovely and the atmosphere is always comfortable and welcoming. On many a day, a chat with a few locals is often likely and it's always a pleasure.
Excellent food, lovely place and one of the nicest places to spend some time.
A must for anyone passing through and a lovely treat if you're local.

When the owner got wind it was my Birthday another beautiful Dessert was presented. Don't know how I managed to eat it 😅 But I did 😋 great experience!

27/10/2025: We had a delicious meal at Lord Baker's! The proprietor was there and was so attentive along with the rest of his staff. We had an appetizer of Stuffed Mushrooms that we ended up ordering a second order of because they were so delicious. All of our food was well prepared, and they even put a little surprise on my dad's dessert for his birthday! We all tried each other's dishes and no one was disappointed!

27/12/2025: We love going to the West Wicklow house for food. The roast dinners are just like what your Mother would have made. Food is excellent, service is fantastic and it's always an enjoyable experience. Would recommend whole heartedly
06/11/2025: Called in for food just after a busy lunchtime, staff were busy cleaning up. Big group of American tourists just leaving, all very happy by the looks of them.
Staff wete vety friendly and efficient. Food was served quickly and great selection on the menu. I had the roast beef and my partner had the roast Seabass. Both were very good. Place very clean, good atmosphere and very spacious. Will be back.

03/01/2026: What’s the craic? Spent a layover day in Dublin on our way back to Berlin. Upon our arrival i googled best Guinness and Beef Pie in Dublin and Sheehans was the first place on my search results. The place did not disappoint. Great atmosphere, Guinness just right, and a delicious meat pie (although the pie was topped with mashed potatoes not pie crust. Served with peas and a slice of nice crusty bread. Tasty.
30/12/2025: A nice pub with a lounge aswell. The pub area looked great but is was full, so we got sat at the lounge where the atmosphere was lower. The wings where great, and if you are looking for some good come here.

The Valley House Bar
12/10/2025: We were staying in Dooagh and happened upon The Valley House. Stayed for a few pints and a chat. Absolutely class place, extremely friendly service. We'll check out the accomodation and food on our next visit.
30/09/2025: What a wonderful find on Achill Island! A hidden Victorian house by the sea. A grand estate with a tiny Irish pub in the back. A must visit! The hostel was very well furnished and a comfortable night’s rest. I was very impressed! Breakfast was very generous and a wholesome stay.

14/01/2026: Very pleased. My room was spotless, lovely view aside from the AC unit outside, comfortable bed, friendly reception and reasonable rates. Location was exceptional, which can be a slight inconvenience when there is a game at the local stadium, but part of the experience! Will certainly visit here again and look forward to it.
12/01/2026: Great hotel, the food was amazing especially the breakfast and the staff throughout the hotel were excellent, they couldn’t do enough for the guests!!
