It's better not to buy the chowder here; it has a bitter taste, and there are much better options. The waitress is rude.

Always have a good experience in the Brass Monkey. Delicious fresh food, generous portions, nice wine consistently served with a smile. Brilliantly located on Howth Harbour..... one of my favourite places

Deluxe seafood chowder recommended. Staff was very friendly and service was wonderful even with every table being full. Good place to stop after doing the Howth Cliff Walk or strolling around the pier.

23/09/2026: One of the finest restaurants I have ever visited! The quality of food is as spectacular as the view across the bay and the attention of the staff is as impressive as the menu! - Bravo to the entire team who made our stay so special!
22/09/2026: Lovely location (address is No.1 but it’s the last building on the pier, not the first!) and amazing view. Service is friendly and efficient. The fish is amazing. Prices match location ambience service and food - really good all round with higher prices reflecting their offer).
