11/10/2026: Absolutely top class meal. The waiting staff are prompt and efficient. The room is cosy but the star of the show is the food. I couldn't fault a thing. I love a rare steak and that's what I got. My husband asked had they onion rings, they didn't but the chef whipped up some anyway. Go here you wont be disappointed.

10/10/2026: Highly recommend O'Neills Bistro, the food is superb and always beautifully presented. The staff are also extremely kind and provide excellent service.

24/09/2026: Lovely history place to visit, house is very well kept, grounds are lovely, their Christmas sensory option is just amazing. All staff are so friendly and helpful.

13/10/2026: Walked in for lunch with ease and had an excellent meal. The seafood stew was spectacular and the brown bread pairs with it just perfectly. The seafood pie came out piping hot and took a long time to cool off but was also tasty and a very large portion. The restaurant has the cutest decorations, kept the ocean theme but very modern, cute and well done overall.

20/07/2026: What a lovely hotel .The staff were so friendly and Justin at the bar was very professional and skilled at his job. We had bar food and it was fabulous. The room was big very clean and the bed was very comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay and most definitely recommend the hotel .Brilliant hotel for the price we paid

09/07/2026: Friendly staff and a comfortable stay. Room small but good standard, breakfast was basic but good. On site parking available for €10. Perfect for a one night stay before going to Dublin Airport, only 10 minutes away. Would stay again.

20/10/2026: We only had a chai latte, but it was delicious. Rich and creamy and very flavorful.

18/10/2026: Small chilled out place. Lovely food and coffee. Really nice welcoming staff.

24/10/2026: Overall pretty underwhelming, food is average pub food, which is fine, didn’t expect fine dining. However it’s overpriced considerably. Service from waiting staff was good, service from staff member encountered on arrival was subpar, borderline rude, appeared surprised and almost frustrated to find us standing at the sign stating “please wait to be seated” situated in the middle of a main walkway through the restaurant. If you don’t want people to stand there, move the sign. Unwelcoming and it felt like we were inconveniencing. Atmosphere is average pub vibe, lots of American related paraphernalia on the walls, very clearly target at the tourists passing and visiting the castle. If I’m dropping €87 for a meal, I expect all boxes to be ticked. (2 mains, mains were [Carbonara and fish and chip]2 deserts, [Cheesecake and Sticky toffee]1 drink each, coke. ) We’d be in no rush back.

04/08/2026: Excellent restaurant in a beautiful building. The chicken supreme was the most delicious I’ve had in a long time, and the dessert was excellent as well. Despite the place being fully packed, the food arrived very quickly. Everything was tasty and beautifully presented. The waiter deserves special praise — very polite and gave great food recommendations. Highly recommend.

02/08/2026: Gorgeous conversion of an old church. The food and service are quality and it shows by always being busy. Highly recommend this place if you're in Skibb.

27/09/2026: The Oarsman is a beautiful pub. The pints of Guinness were great and the Beef Brisket roll was unreal. I will be 100% going back for more. The staff were all very friendly and made us feel very welcome.

27/09/2026: My first time in this place and onced I walked in it was like something that just lifted up me and we had a certain young girl taking are orders for drinks and food and I have been in plenty of restaurants and I never met has a lovely girl like her and I passed by staff and they were all so pleasant and the food was absolutely fantastic and a reasonable price and so lovely and homely and cosys and hopefully I will be back again absolutely a fantastic place to go to

02/10/2026: I had wings in BarOne 8 years ago when passing through, I've been meaning to get back since, today I made it back and it didn't disappoint. I will definitely make it my business to get back soon for a full meal. 5* food, service & atmosphere

28/09/2026: Having recently moved to the area, we chose Bar One for Saturday evening meal out for two. We were not disappointed. We generally like to eat a little later and the place was hopping when we got there. A well selected menu and a large list of specials gave us much to contemplate. The winelist was well chosen and pricing was not crazy. When you can select a good wine without a ridiculous mark up, you are happy to pay for it. I was tempted by one special, the Hampshire Bacon chop. I figured if there is a good chef here, it will be more than just bacon and cabbage. It was! Cabbage cooked quickly is wonderful and the oven finish on the chop was meltingly delicious, with a cider sauce on the side. My wife had the tempura hake and was equally impressed. We somehow also squeezed in dessert and a digestif but were well satisfied. Staff were always attentive and never overbearing. Service was well paced for a nice night out. We noticed that as people left and food service finished, the bar/bistro was a little quieter, they should advertise it better as a bar after meals since the atmosphere and drinks selection would tempt me even when not out for a meal. 10/10 - very happy and we will be back regularly!

31/08/2026: Great Guinness and atmosphere. Went in a couple of times including after the Bon Jovi gig at Croke Park. The live singer played lots of stuff to get people singing and enjoying themselves. Staff a very efficient and one of the cheaper pints in Temple Bar

22/08/2026: Live music with horrible Infrastructure which made the evening difficult to enjoy. Not one word was understandable and the bass was one big noise

03/10/2026: Brilliant service and very tasty food 😍 Early bird is great value for such good quality food. Very impressed that there is no surcharge on the king prawn pasta dish which comes with lots of prawns and is delicious. The wings to start are a must for me every time!

01/10/2026: The seafood option here are good! And a great pub for a couple of drinks! I would definitely book ahead if going for food. If your going for a couple of drinks I'd leave it until later in the evening when food service is over.

27/05/2026: Hopefully it's sunny in waterville when you arrive as its a beautiful place and looks stunning on a nice day. The villa is so welcoming, not just for your stay but for food and drink. The atmosphere 👌. Food is reasonably priced and is amazing. And make sure your there for the weekend as the band on a Saturday night was perfect
