Outstanding meal in Bar One. I had the beef short rib and it was absolutely superb, beautifully tender, packed with flavour, and clearly cooked with real care. Comfort food done properly, using quality ingredients and executed at a very high level. You can feel the experience and pride behind the food here, and the service matches it. A brilliant spot that consistently delivers. I’ll be back.

We stopped here on our last night in Ireland after a week of exploring the country. I’d honestly say, this is the best service we have received out of any restaurant we visited and the food was top notch. Great vibe inside and plenty of drinks and beers to choose from. Highly recommend!

18/09/2025: What a gem of a place, we’d been to the Deli the day before and bought some granola and flour, and had a take out coffee, so we were really looking forward to a late breakfast at Café Rua. First impressions were a fantastic welcome and real friendly people, nothing sham or pretend here. What a great menu, absolutely something for all tastes and dietary requirements. The chorizo, spinach and sautéed potatoes, topped with 2 perfectly poached eggs and accompanied with chilli relish was excellent. Real fresh orange juice was delightful, and the coffee? Epic! What a fabulous way to spend time being looked after in one of the best cafés I’ve visited.
