We ordered today the prawn salad and one of the daily’s specials. It was delicious. The service was great (Raphael the head of the waitress recommended us those two dishes). Really great, obliging and friendly service! We can definitely recommend it!! The surrounding was nice and not too loud. Great work gluten-free options (at least 70% of the menu) as well.

Absolutely beautiful meal, everything was perfectly done and presented very well. The service was impeccable. It was lovely to see such a well-coordinated team, all committed to delivering excellent hospitality. Highly recommend!

My husband and I have been eating in bar one at least twice a month for the last year and we have never had a bad experience. The food is excellent. The service is amazing, the staff are friendly and knowledgeable and the atmosphere is lovely.

Here for ten days and had 5 nights here the service and food was so good!!!! Cannot recommend the place enough! You will not be disappointed.

Very nice overall and always good food for a reasonable price the only things I think they can improve on are the chips are always scorching hot and impossible to eat for a while after arriving (You would actually need to leave them until you've nearly finished eating the rest before you can eat them), also the mens bathroom could be improved, currently they have a long trough instead of urinals but I think urinals are a lot nicer for a fancy restaurant. The issues are minor and won't affect me visiting in future as I have many times in the past

One of the best evenings I have had in recent times. It is a beautiful venue with a brilliant atmosphere and amazing staff. The food is outstanding, good quality food that is cooked and prepared to perfection. I found the staff very welcoming and friendly and efficient. I could not fault this restaurant in any way and would have no problem recommending it to anybody, Well done Mark and all.

This is where you want to go in town. Excellent in all ways—service, ambience, food. Incredible selection of beverages and food dishes. We returned a second night in a row. Thankful we found the spot!

25/02/2026: What a pub ! The keg under the bar, the Stout is cream, Mick himself is a gentleman, the epitome of hospitality, brings out snacks for the customers, makes welcome and warm conversation. A joy to visit, I shall return !

14/07/2026: What a wonderful evening! My friend from Westport invited me here, and I was genuinely impressed. The food was outstanding from start to finish. I chose the special of the day – halibut with a lobster bisque – and it was absolutely delicious. I especially loved that they even brought me an extra jug of the bisque, which was such a lovely touch. The starter was equally delicious: perfectly cooked scampi served on a fresh salad. The restaurant itself is quite small, which gives it a warm, intimate atmosphere. I felt very comfortable throughout the evening, and the service was friendly and attentive. If I’m back in Castlebar, I will definitely come here again. Highly recommended!
03/07/2026: We picked Dinning Room as a restaurant for our small wedding meal. From the start Shirley was so accomodating with times, they designed a custom menu especially for our occasion which was a lovely touching gesture. The food was amazing every dish tasted amazing from the bread to starters, mains and desserts. Staff were lovely and kind, very professional. The restaurant itself is a lovely small intimate place great for a special occasion to celebrate. Lovely touch also from Kevin taking time to come out and talk to us. Lovely people, beautiful restaurant and the most amazing food.
