PJ O'Hares in Carlingford

Wow! Food and service were unreal. The seafood was some of the best we've had. I loved my seafood tacos. We pre booked and dined as a group of 7, including adults and teens. Karolis was very friendly and was super attentive in serving our group. Lovely cosy atmosphere, our table was located beside a fire in the most ideal setting which I would definitely book again on next trip. There are several cosy nooks and table areas, along with a large courtyard area which was covered.

An all-time pub. Drove through Carlingford on our way to Belfast from Dublin and we were so glad we stopped in. The Guinness an absolute creamer. The oysters fresh and briney. The mains perfect and hearty. The fire roared, the staff friendly. What a place. Can’t recommend enough.

Incredible pints, staff, and food. Luke took great care of us and the kids. We went in with 6 adults and 4 kids. Luke printed out sheets of coloring paper that looked like the front of the pub. Kept the kids entertained for hours.

Most amazing experience and food. Staff are all so lovely and helpful. I got the smashed burger and it was the best, meat is top quality and so is all the ingredients. Rest of family got foods like chicken wings, seafood tacos and crab claws and they also said they were amazing. Loveliest little restaurant

Great food nice real pub atmosphere to the place but it does get extremely busy at weekends

Popped in for a pint and warm welcome from bar staff... lovely pint of Beamish..

Stopped in for a quick lunch with friends. The staff was great, our meals were really good and the pub is awesome.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Stopped by PJ O’Hares in Carlingford and the crab claws were absolutely special. Perfectly cooked, full of flavour, and served in a delicious sauce that made them even better. Generous portion, fresh ingredients, and exactly what you hope for when ordering seafood by the coast. Friendly atmosphere too — definitely a place I’d happily visit again.

Great craic, place was absolutely bouncing. Only drank there no food.
