24/04/2026: Restaurant only...excellent, really glad we found it. The staff were lovely and found us a table, we were lucky because it was busy.
Carlingford is beautiful, and it was a great welcome on our first day. I thoroughly enjoyed the carbonnara and my husband loved the prawns. Portions were plentiful!

10/05/2026: Lovely service let a group of wheelchair user us the beer garden. Put the heaters on as it was a dry chilly day. Service was excellent. Best sticky toffee pudding I ever had.
10/05/2026: Astonishing experience, the food was beyond of superb, staff attentive and friendly since we stepped into the pub. The atmosphere preserve all the goods from their region. I highly recommend all intens in the menu, specifically the chowder and the mussels. If you are around do not miss this restaurant. Well done to the whole team.

17/12/2025: What a lovely genuine tea rooms with the most delicious home made (how rare this is today) cakes, biscuits and muffins. Full of atmosphere and great friendly service.
You couldn't get better!!
26/10/2025: Couldn't even go in due to their only accepting cash ('Cash Only sign outside). Very disappointing.

12/05/2026: Absolutely magnificent! Service was incredible; polite, knowledgeable, professional and friendly. Food was absolutely phenomenal. Fresh, vibrant, refreshing and bold. Portions were also well served which never hurts. Definitely a must visit! Would go back every day if we lived nearby and every weekend if we lived in Ireland. Should have 3 Michelin stars

13/05/2026: Absolutely stunning place, lovely staff and owners, friendly, helpful, attentive. Perfect breakfast, really nice rooms. Cosy reading room with a fireplace, nice decorations. I've stayed there twice and will come back again.

10/05/2026: I have forget my bank card after payment for lunch at this beautiful restaurant and founded after more than a week without any problems. Thumbs up for honesty!!!
21/04/2026: We were a group of 14 people, one of our starters was forgotten about and we never got it
Food was poor quality, chicken was over cooked. Service was rude, pints were poor.
Overall we didn't feel welcome and we were happy to finish up and go elsewhere

The food was amazing and staff were very friendly and accommodating.
The chef,apologies,didn’t get his name,came out for a chat.
Definitely be back.Something for everyone-the specials board was massive!
Thank you for a memorable evening.

29/06/2025: This place was recommended to us and it did not disappoint, the toastys are like nothing we had eaten before! My kids can be hard to please, but they really loved the food! It's Run by nice people and it's a cool place! Remember everyone, it's street food! Don't go there expecting Michelin Star table Service! Just good quality grub on the street!

13/12/2025: Went there for dinner. Ordered 2 main courses which were cold after long delay. Asked for potato instead of chips. Cost 3.50. Parmesan cheese coat 2.50. Bit over the top. We not offered the desert menu. Restaurant was quiet for a Friday. Have visited before and was lovely but would not go back.

Got our Quarter Pounder order wrong too. Won’t be returning.
