Riina's in Carlingford

Gorgeous restaurant, super food, friendly staff and great value.

Nice Italian decor and background music. Friendly and helpful staff. Menu is reasonably priced. But the quality of food is inconsistent and not as good as it used to be. Bruchetta was excellent. Seabass with mussels was fine. The Lasagne, however, was not fresh, it had been reheated and had gone hard. Selection of wine quite limited. Toilets just ok. But toilet lid in the gents needs fixing and the soap dispenser was empty. Many tourists and visitors are in Carlingford for the first time and do not know what time the restaurant opens. There is no notice on display in the window, as most other places have. As it happens, it opens from 5pm most evenings but none of the locals could tell us that. Consideration should be given to opening the restaurant slightly earlier on a Sunday afternoon to catch some of the many day visitors to the village. This looks like a small family business that should be supported. However, they need to listen to advice and take on board any feedback. Sadly the lady in charge is a little defensive and does not seem open to it. We wish them well. Times are tough for restaurants.

I am 8 and this is the best Restaurant ever.

Visited with my sister and 5 year old nephew, both staff serving were very polite and attentive and advised on starters when we were ordering. Food was amazing and very tasty and filling. The restaurant and facilities were very clean and well looked after. Great atmosphere and friendly staff.
