I found this place years ago by coincidence and since then he has been my goal to place every time I visit to Dublin. The place I recommend to everyone. The menu is not very comprehensive, but the atmosphere and the quality of the product products themselves are amazing. Small details like having small board games on each table make you feel at home and enjoy your stay The place has gone popular since I first went there and it’s hard to find a place but when you happen to find one, it is worth it

Fantastic Irish Potato cakes, crispy on the outside and delicious and soft on the inside. Comes with a little salad and tomato relish which really accompanied the dish.

Really good and local food, you sit directly at the busy street which is also very immersive but can be a bit much, but you can also sit inside. Definitely worth a visit- filling and delicious. And try the fresh made orange juice!

Dublin Skylon Hotel

14/05/2026: Dublin Skylon Hotel is a hospitality establishment located in Drumcondra next to Dublin City University (DCU) St. Patrick's campus. How to get there? From Dublin Airport to the hotel, you can take bus 16, 41, or 41c for €2 and arrive in 30-35 minutes. From Skylon Hotel to Dublin city center, you can take bus 19 or 41 and arrive in 20-25 minutes for €2 (coins only). (The bus does not yet accept cashless payments. Prices as of May 2026.) The service from the reception staff was outstanding. Congratulations! ⚠️On the other hand, the service from the bar/restaurant staff could be improved. I suggest that the middle-aged gentleman who collects payment for breakfast at the restaurant entrance be a bit friendlier, or at least smile when collecting the €18 per person for the breakfast buffet. Their interactions with customers and the breakfast staff could be more pleasant and ease the tense atmosphere that seems to be present among most of the restaurant staff. This is why I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5. ⚠️ Everything else is excellent; the rooms are clean and the common areas are ideal for leisure or business trips. The price is reasonable for the value offered. 🙌🏽
18/04/2026: A well-maintained hotel with friendly service. There's a good bus connection right in front of the hotel to the city center (€2 / 10 min) and also to the airport. The hotel restaurant offers a good menu with plenty of choices. The rooms are comfortable and clean. A safe, a refrigerator (empty), and an ironing board are provided. The only drawback is the lack of air conditioning in the room. On hot days, the table fan is definitely insufficient. The carpet in the room is also rather old-fashioned from a hygiene perspective.

Mister S

10/05/2026: Excellent spot. The food, the staff and overall vibe is so good. Been a couple times, most recently sitting on the high stool seats by the window. Everything we ordered was delicious, the spring rolls, tartare, prawns, steak cooked to perfection, hispi cabbage was the nicest I've had, anywhere. Looking forward to our return.
08/05/2026: Mister S was my favorite meal during my 6 day stay in Ireland. I'm honestly kind of devastated that I had a superlative pork chop and it's an ocean away from where I live. I dined alone, which I don't recommend because there were many other dishes I wanted to try 🥲 - the shrimp, the tartare, the steak, the list goes on. The portions are sizable and generally I think the menu is well suited for sharing. I ordered the tuna carpaccio, the pork chop, and a side of potatoes. The tuna was very good. The pork chop though was superb - one of the very best I've had in my life - smoky, delicious glaze, fat melting in my mouth. I would dine here again in a heartbeat. And I'm dying to try that steak. As an extra bonus the price was very reasonable considering this is Dublin!
