The House in Dublin

We visited The House Restaurant during a day trip to Howth after a colleague of mine recommended it, and I came here with my parents. We arrived around 1:30 pm and the restaurant was already quite busy, but luckily we still managed to get a table without a reservation, although I would definitely recommend booking in advance! We came to Howth hoping to enjoy some authentic, fresh fish, and this was exactly what we were looking for. We had the catch of the day, haddock served fish-and-chips style with tartar sauce and crushed peas. It was absolutely delicious and definitely worth the visit. Even though the restaurant was full, we didn’t have to wait long for our food, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. If you’re visiting Howth and looking for a great place to enjoy fresh, authentic fish, I can definitely recommend stopping by The House Restaurant! 🐟🇮🇪

Wonderfull place with a variety of great dishes. If you visit Dublin, you should take a stopover in Howth to eat there 😉

Typical breakfast: eggs, bacon, bread (good), sausage, pudding, salted butter, and orange juice. Friendly and attentive staff.

Excellent food, very pleasant service.

They went out of their way to make a dish for me that was vegan. And it was the best food I had on my trip! My mom (not vegan) felt the same about her food!

We had a delightful visit to this establishment. Despite not having a reservation and being closed for 45 minutes until dinner service started, David let us come in and enjoy some delicious beers on the back patio. The food was delicious! We got some scrumptious Hake Fish & Chips, and Mussels/ Smoked Haddock in a coconut broth. This restaurant was such a wonderful respite after a long day hiking along the cliffs, and we highly recommend it on your next visit to Howth.

Had the chicken sandwich, very tender. Rest of the table had the fish/chips and were pleased. Good spot!

Excellent food and friendly staff!

When I say food I've only really ever had brekky ( excellent and reasonable) and coffee and scones. Id walk on hot coals for these scones. They're THE BEST and with cream and jam .

Lovely place, the staff was super friendly and nice and the food was great, we also loved the ambiente! And you can buy the artwork, that‘s displayed in the restaurant.
