O'Connell's in Dublin

We really enjoyed both the service and the food. Good value for money.

I've eaten at this restaurant several times when I've visited Howth, and it never disappoints. They have a wide menu, good quality ingredients, and friendly, attentive service. Plus, the price is excellent for the quality and quantity. The place is also spacious, with dining rooms and tables downstairs (as well as a bar area and terrace), and an upstairs area where you can also eat, even at high tables. I've had everything from fish and chips (crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside), to the fish of the day (they often have a special fish that isn't on the menu), the typical Irish mussels (delicious, with a white wine and cream sauce that's so good you'll want to keep dipping), and my favorite dish: a casserole with a base of crab and haddock (which is similar to cod) in a cream sauce, all baked au gratin and served with mashed potatoes. I think it's one of the best fish dishes I've ever had. If you're in Howth, this place is a must-visit for good food and a few pints.

Busy pub just down from the cliff walk. Hence the popularity. Large menu with too many options. A cup of soup to warm up and continue on with your day.

This pub is exactly what you're looking for when visiting a coastal village of Howth, warm, welcoming, and full of character. The fish and chips is very taszy, and the atmosphere is wonderfully cozy with a traditional feel. Sitting here with a pint and looking out toward the harbor is a perfect Irish experience. A must-visit in Howth. Oh, ask the staff to recommend you some Irish whiskey. 🔝

Nice pub with a fairly good beer selection. Places inside and outside at the terrace but if you're only going for a drink, you can only sit at the bar or outside, the couches and tables are reserved for the restaurant part.
