Took a detour from the road works at rathcormac and seen the café as we passed glencar it was a lovely place to stop a midday treat

Fantastic afternoon just hanging at the bar and chatting with the staff. Had a cracking pint of Guiness and great Jamieson. Bar staff are great for a chat and other staff super friendly. Location is fantastic for a wander and watching the crazy guys surfing in what must be freezing water.

Here’s fish and chips was very tasty and big. Batter was well seasoned with thick cod. I think best ever I’ve had. You should order if you can’t decide what you eat.

Shells Cafe

30/03/2024: Lovely place by the sea front. Any time we are in Sligo we try to come here for lunch, the fresh fish dish is always a treat. Always a nice crowd here, service is great and food is tasty, fresh and fast.
19/03/2024: Delicious food, great coffee and fabulous cakes served by lovely staff with a beautiful view of the Atlantic. Highly recommend a visit.

28/11/2023: Stopped by here once with some friends and we had burgers. The chicken burger I had was just amazing and I loved sitting by the fire eating it with a pint. Hope to return again.
05/10/2023: The pint was excellent and the bar was cozy warm.
