Shells Cafe in Strandhill

Beautiful food. I had the seabass plate and sat outside as I had two dogs with me. It was outstanding and the staff are fabulous

Drove from Cavan to Sligo this morning for breakfast at Shells Cafe. As always the food was outstanding.

The coffee is delicious, and the desserts are amazing! Keep up the high standard, and I wish you good luck!

Good honest food, generous portion sizes too. Bread is excellent, we keep coming back. A must if you are in the area. Good coffee too I'll add. Stay away from the cakes you have been warned.. 😂❤️

A place with sea views where we stopped for lunch. We stopped for breakfast, and after several days of travel and having stopped at other places, this one fell a little short in terms of atmosphere and food. Nothing was bad, but nothing stood out either. A special mention goes to the waiter who served us. When we told him that someone in our party had a nut allergy and that his dish had a sauce that seemed to contain nuts (which wasn't listed on the menu), he changed it without any problem.

Fantastic breakfast by the sea with an extensive, plentiful, and well-cooked menu. Perhaps a little noisy, but nothing critical.

This place, for me, serves the finest soda bread that I have ever had the good fortune of tasting. It was absolutely remarkable and I haven’t gone a day since without thinking, I’d love another slice of that bread. Great cafe, warm staff, really good service and an excellent menu, but that soda bread is to die for.

I went to the Shells Cafe on 21/02/2026. I ordered a cappuccino amd I must say that it was unbelievable 🫶🏻 I’d highly recommend Shells Cafe ☕️
