We had their traditional Irish Lamb Stew and Scotch eggs, yum yum! A very friendly waitress suggested these after we asked her for some traditional Irish dishes, "what would your grandma cook for you?". We enjoyed Sheehan's a great deal more than Brazen Head. PS... We were about to leave when we saw their onion rings and ordered our own, wow! They selected the largest ones with crispy batter. Highly recommended for such a simple dish.

A lovely pub with a great atmosphere and excellent food. I visited twice during my two-week stay in Dublin, and it quickly became one of my favourite places to eat. It was always quite busy, but the staff were incredibly friendly and always managed to find us a table. Highly recommended!

Wonderful, original pub. Traditional, rustic, yet well-crafted food (an incredible potato soup I'll dream about all night, the spectacular pies), excellent beers (and not just the classic Guinness; if you like stout, try the Beamish). If I could, I'd give it 10 stars; I wish I'd discovered it on my first night in Dublin. Prices are fair and absolutely in line with the rest of the city. Highly recommended.

What a fab spot. Myself and my daughter had a great afternoon here. Great food, super service. Wonderful atmosphere. Everything perfect. First time Ive ever seen "Corned Beef and Cabbage" on a menu in Ireland. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The vegetarian pie and fish & chips were decent. There are better options for pub food around the city, but this is a solid spot. Really enjoyed the cabbage.

17/08/2026: My first time in Dublin and was treated to some drinks and mouthwatering food at this legendary establishment. Was completely blown away by Darren and his staff. Especially impressed by a tall Englishman, Steve, who went out of his way to ensure that we had a proper experience. Can’t say enough good things and will definitely be back the next time we decide to cross the ocean for a good meal and a pint.!

03/08/2026: We were really looking forward to trying this restaurant. Unfortunately, the welcome was a little underwhelming, although the waiter looking after our table was friendly, attentive and professional. The starters and the burger were both very good, but the tagliatelle ragù was a real disappointment. It felt like quantity over quality. The tagliatelle tasted like a very cheap brand, and the sauce was bland, lacking the rich, slow-cooked flavour you'd expect from a proper ragù. It certainly didn't live up to its description. Overall, there were some positives, but based on this visit, we left feeling a little disappointed.
02/08/2026: Our first time here; great food & service. We had a great afternoon.
