La Maison in Dublin

A quiet night recently at La Maison. We ate from early bird and had wine. As usual all good. Prices were ok. Portions are ok but not large. Service good. We are in the ‘glass tank’. We should have asked for heating but it seemed unfair to the environment. We sucked it up. -2 for atmosphere. Seems September is a quiet month.

My sister and I went on a French onion soup expedition around Dublin, trying four different restaurants. La Maison came out on top. The soup was perfectly balanced, rich and comforting, with beautifully creamy melted cheese. We started with bread, the creamiest pesto and incredibly crisp olives, with a crunch almost like biting into an apple. An inexpensive Montepulciano paired beautifully with it, followed by homemade dark chocolate with a little bull on it that melted in your mouth. Anthony greeted us warmly and was professional and genuinely kind throughout. La Maison is a beautiful little French setting in the heart of Dublin, and there’s a reason it’s a favourite with people like Beyoncé when she’s in the city. Four French onion soups later, we found our winner. I’ll be back to work my way through the rest of the menu.

A wonderful restaurant right in the heart of the city.

At home, it's just like at home...no more, no less...

An absolute delight! The food was amazing. Everything we ordered came with different breads and we needed them to soak up all the perfect sauces and flavors! Would recommend the gnocchi and foie gras!

Great find! The service was excellent and attentive. We really enjoyed our meal.

It's easy to forget what good service is. The waiters in La Maison are at the top of their game. Real kudos to make something look effortless which is in fact very hard 👏.

Excellent French cuisine, great atmosphere, impeccable service. Well done!

My top restaurant in Dublin. The area is great, full of lively cafes and bars. The food is delicious, staff great with recommendations and wine paring. Outdoor seating perfect to enjoy a meal and enjoy the buzz of Dublin. Have eaten here with a group of 8 and again with 4 people and just 2; great every time.
