The best restaurant in limerick by far! Freddies is our little treat to ourselves. Food is absolutely amazing best by far compared to anywhere else. I have been going to freddies for years and years. Great value fir money considering the quality of the food. I've never once had any complaint in all the years but I have been pleasantly surprised time and time again on the amazing taste and service!

I’ve eaten at nationally top rated restaurants all over the world. I do not say it lightly when I say this is the best meal I have ever had. Liz, the owner, is unbelievably sweet and kind, and found a way to seat me at a table despite being all booked up and having no reservation. I didn’t do anything to deserve such hospitality beyond being polite about her having no tables. She was the best of many examples of the unbelievably warm hospitality of the Irish I came to experience in my week here. I had the slow cooked lamb and I’ve never seen meat just fall apart from being so tender before. The bread, salad, lamb, veggies, and brownie were truly all divine. Even if not for Liz’s amazing kindness, this was one of the highlights of my trip to Ireland. I drive 3.5 hours to eat at my favorite restaurant back home, if I lived in Ireland, Freddy’s would be that restaurant now.

The food and staff were great, pity that the ambience wasn't as nice since we were at a tiny table beside the stairs and felt squashed.

Best spot to eat in limerick. The staff are wonderful, the atmosphere is just right and the food is perfect. Best steak I have had in a very long time.
