The Staff at the anvil looked after us very well tonight. Fantastic pizza and even better cocktails. Thanks to Emma at the bar who worked like a Trojan to keep the drinks flowing under pressure. Christy, Kaitlin and Anna always look after us so well. We missed the anvil when it was being refurbished and it’s great to see it back with a new look and we wish it the best success. Dave & Derv

We visited The Anvil in Saggart on Sunday 15th June to celebrate Father’s Day, and we were really impressed! The restaurant has been newly refurbished under new ownership, and it looks fantastic—stylish, welcoming, and comfortable. The food was excellent, with generous portions and great flavour. You can tell real care has gone into the menu and preparation. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. All in all, it was a lovely experience and we’ll definitely be returning. A great addition to local dining —highly recommend!

Service is catching up with the reopening but the food is good, choice is amazing, decor is beautiful, and staff are very friendly. Booking link is on their Facebook, only. Outdoor seating now in the smoking area.

We had a wonderful experience at The Anvil! From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming and went out of their way to make sure our young children felt comfortable and looked after — something that really stood out. The food was absolutely delicious, with the standout dish being the buttermilk chicken burger — perfectly crispy, juicy, and full of flavor. Every bite was a treat, and the rest of the menu looked just as tempting. Portions were generous, and everything tasted freshly made. The atmosphere struck the perfect balance between relaxed and lively, making it a great spot for both families and casual get-togethers. We’ll definitely be back — highly recommended for anyone looking for top-quality pub food and genuinely warm service!
