Anvil Saggart in Saggart

So happy that it is re opened again. We needed something like this in Saggart. Waiter did not understand english when I asked for a fork and knife, but everything else is great. Inside looks amazing, fish & chips were nice. Garlic sauce was so good!!!! We did not have a reservation, but had seated really quick.

Newly refurbished and reopened under new management serving breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week. Full bar now serving extensive cocktail list.

We had a wonderful experience at The Anvil! From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming and went out of their way to make sure our young children felt comfortable and looked after — something that really stood out. The food was absolutely delicious, with the standout dish being the buttermilk chicken burger — perfectly crispy, juicy, and full of flavor. Every bite was a treat, and the rest of the menu looked just as tempting. Portions were generous, and everything tasted freshly made. The atmosphere struck the perfect balance between relaxed and lively, making it a great spot for both families and casual get-togethers. We’ll definitely be back — highly recommended for anyone looking for top-quality pub food and genuinely warm service!
