A fantastic family gathering on a glorious Saturday summer evening at The Anvil Restaurant in Saggart, celebrating birthdays, a wedding anniversary, and the annual family catch-up in Michael's home village. The food was delicious, the laughs were plentiful, and—miraculously—everyone managed to talk at the same time while still hearing every story! There was plenty of friendly banter, a few well-polished family legends grew even taller, and nobody admitted to getting older... just more "well seasoned." Days like these remind us to count our blessings and treasure the greatest riches of all: family, friendship, good health, and the people who know all your faults but still save you a seat at the table. Here's to making more memories, sharing more laughter, and proving once again that every family gathering deserves a standing ovation... and perhaps a lie-down afterwards!

Would highly recommend a visit to the Anvil restaurant. Met a friend for lunch recently & had a very yummy chicken pasta dish. She had a toastie, also yummy. The coffee was also very good. The staff were very friendly & attentive.

Busy times can be tight for parking

Been a few times for meals. Food always nice. Place looks great. Had left a review before but edited to give 5stsrs now as its consistently got better over its 1st year. Had a great server called Sahi last 2 visits, very pleasant and attentive. Will be back

A very lovely restaurant. The interior is nicely designed and the food is fabulous. They have an extensive menu with something for everyone. We have brought out one year olds here and they always love the food too. Service is reasonably quick even when it’s busy

We celebrated our wedding anniversary at Anvil in Saggart with family and friends, and it was a truly unforgettable experience! Everything was perfect—the food was delicious, incredibly fresh, and flavorful. The service was brilliant, and the elegant atmosphere made us feel special throughout the entire evening. A real highlight was the champagne served with sparkling fireworks, which added such a magical touch to our celebration🥂 We loved every moment and will definitely be returning. Highly recommended!

Been here over the year's on many occasions, decour lovely bright and airy, good atmosphere, excellent menus at reasonable price, socialising on certain nights have promotions. Staff friendly and attentive, perfect for lunch during the day or a birthday party, or romantic dinner, , Food preparation excellent taking the time to add little touches to the presentation,. Gluten free options also available, certainly worth a visit, but caution for inexperienced car drivers, car park has its challenges.
