Excellent food in this restaurant/pub by the road and the sea. We loved the fish and chips, the mixed salad and the home made soda bread. The view of the sea is lovely and there is outdoor seating if the weather allows it
Genuinely one of the best fish and chips in years. Fresh, light batter. Perfectly cooked fish. Fantastic fries. Tom’s homemade bread is also the best we’ve had in Ireland. And the salad as soup were delicious. Lovely place at a lovely location (we were sat upstairs which is quite echoey, but everything else is v charming).
Yum! An absolutely must eat and do not miss is the mussels with chorizo. One of, if not the best, of the mussels we had on our whole trip, especially if you’re needing variety from the white wine recipes everyone else had. Fish and chips were delicious. The coconut curry soup was hot and tasty. Several whisky options, rockshire cider and lager along with other options to enjoy a pint. Eat at the restraint indoors or on the outdoor patio or walk across the street to enjoy your drink at the shore with a view
Now this is a hidden gem with some lovely down to earth and very friendly staff who are eager to serve you.
We had the lamb burgers and can highly recommend same. Gluten and dairy needs were catered for during our lunch with good banter thrown in at no extra charge 😉🤣
If you’re thinking of heading for Sheep’s Head then make sure to factor in time for lunch at Arundels by the pier, we weren’t disappointed and hopefully you won’t be either 👌👌
Found randomly on the road, we had a great time.
There was a wait because the place is very popular with locals as well as a few tourists.
Table outside facing the sea, with the sun.
The products are of very good quality. The fish and chips are excellent! And yet I'm not crazy about it 😉 So it's impossible to enjoy another one elsewhere.
Same for smoked salmon!
I recommend
