Lovely friendly service. Ordered the Prawn Pad Thai (one of my most favourite dishes) - it was excellent. Would highly recommend and will be returning.

Cool old school Asian spot in near Galway bar strip. BBQ ribs fell off the bone, mango sea bass was great combination of flavors and chicken friend rice hit the spot. Fun cocktail list and friendly/attentive service!

I love an Asian fusion restaurant and this place is no exception. The food itself is delicious and the portions are very generous. The staff are very gracious in their approach to serving and were very attentive when I informed them of my allergy. All in all, I highly recommend this place.

Fantastic food! One of our party is gluten-free, so this is the first proper Asian meal we've had together for over 10 years. Did not disappoint at all!

We went there on a Sunday night. The menu was big with lots of options both for food and for drinks. It was a bit expensive. Among the starters we had a portion of gyozas and a portion of gowgee, which were both 3 small items per plate for 9.20 and 8.00 euro respectively. The mains were costing about 18.50 and unfortunately you had to order the rice/noodles as a side dish for an extra 4-5 euro. At least the mains' portions were big. It was one of those cases though that we tried something new and 2 out of the 3 party members didn't really liked the taste of the food. This was a personal taste preference though as the food was really well cooked with fresh ingredients and with attention to detail. The service was good as well. Finally considering we were not very pleased with the food and the high prices we will not visit again.

We have been at this place multiple times ( also at the Buddha bar *same kitchen. Buddha bar is where we go the most) The Thai crispy chicken is my go to dish, my husband loves the galangal chicken, always taste good & the portions are good too (the only thing is it would be good to get the starches with the main instead of paying for them separately 18,50 for a chicken dish is pricey enough if compared with many other Asians around the city) atmosphere is good & huge thanks to Alessandra the lovely waitress that looks after us most times when we go there, she is an absolute star! Love when she is around.

Im not sure about this place, the dish i ordered mee koreng was very spicy and noodles in sauce when i thought it would be dry like singapore noodkes . Spacious seating but is lacking that spark that would make you want to return.... perhaps getting a take away is a better option

Hooked

03/11/2024: Great seafood just out the centre of Galway! We had the seafood chowder, mussels, hooked fish tacos and chips! All were excellent and very fresh. Personal fav was the seafood chowder. Also very good value for money! Can't book a table for 2 but we only had to wait 15 mins on a Saturday eve
01/11/2024: The starter tacos are very good and tasty, while the main courses we ordered were quite disappointing, to say the least (seafood risotto and fish pie). They lacked flavor, salt, and spices. I would cook better myself, but, alas, we are traveling.

Aniar

12/11/2024: Visited November 2024. This place is fantastic! Food, service and atmosphere were terrific. They use mostly local ingredients and decor. The "Irish cocktail" pairing was different than most Michelin pairings and very good. They gave me a signed cookbook at the end of the night.
30/10/2024: Magic is real, and JP McMahon is a sorcerer. He created things we still can't wrap our heads around. Things that melt in your mouth or look like something else entirely. Aniar serves art shrouded in love. You can taste how much the chef loves his country and tries to show appreciation to all the beauty Ireland has to offer. The restaurant is unassuming from the outside, but the inside is captivating, showcasing elements of the ingredients being used. His staff is kind, welcoming, and absolutely charming. They really made our night even more special. Experiencing Aniar was a marvel that will stay with me, in my heart, forever. It encapsulates everything Ireland is and more. The kindness, the stories, the enthusiasm to share culture. We are so very grateful to have been a part of it. Thank you, Team Aniar. We are touched.
