Was in the area for a meeting and decided to try this place. Delighted I did. Grabbed a seat outside, great buzz, friendly crew, and the breakfast bap was unreal. Proper tasty and filling. Will be swinging back soon.

Best café in Dublin. Quality of ingredients 100%. Everything is tasty and fresh and good size portions. Try their daily chicken sandwich on sourdough, their daily soup and finish with their Polenta cake. Amazing 👏. Super nice staff too. Location is amazing as its right beside Phoenix Park and in cute village of Chapelizod.

Baabaa Café is such a hidden jem! The breakfast bun was absolutely delicious — warm, fresh, and full of flavor. The relish on it was especially tasty and tied everything together perfectly. And the carrot cake? Incredible. Moist, perfectly spiced, and finished with just the right amount of frosting. A true little spot worth discovering. I’ll definitely be back!

Had lunch here to take a break from the lashing rain outside. Such a lovely spot and the food was amazing. I had quesadilla with halloumi. Lots of warm tea and back on the bike with a takeaway cookie.

Canal Bank Cafe

07/03/2026: I love how it feels like the restaurant is full of locals, it’s such a good sign when you can literally spot returning customers. The host- great at her job, staff are super friendly and our food was great. My only critique is- I feel as though the high volume of locals makes the service for new/less frequent customers too casual. For example our waitress kind of just came over and gave us a thumbs when checking on us. Which in theory is fine, and we didn’t mind, but perhaps could be an issue for other diners.
25/02/2026: We had a lovely experience, we had a new staff waiting our table and she did great! Food was very good, we had the Guacamole (only thing that we wouldn't have again, quite tasteless, looked like it came out of a can) and the Hummus (gorgeous). Then the steak and Fish and chips for mains, both veery good. Ending up with the chocolate 'Budino', a smooth mousse that was the perfect way to end up the evening.
