Bad Bobs in Dublin

We had a few pints with live music. Recommended.

This place was great for our last night in Dublin! Our service was great and the food was delicious. Our server gave us our “Baby Guinness” shots right at our table. The live music was great (a bit loud but that’s par for the course). Only complaint was that our table was squished by another table that kept adding more people like a clown car but when we asked our waitress to switch, she nicely was able to move us despite how crowded it was. Absolutely loved the experience and highly recommend!

After the soul-stirring Billy Strings gig, we wandered into Bad Bobs for one last drink—and ended up staying for the encore we didn’t know we needed. The place was electric. A local performer took the mic and turned the room into a full-blown celebration, weaving energy and charm into every note. You could feel the crowd shift—shoulders loosened, smiles widened, and suddenly strangers were singing along like old friends. The staff were sharp and friendly, keeping the drinks flowing without missing a beat. The vibe? Pure Dublin—unpretentious, lively, and full of heart. Whether you’re chasing the tail end of a gig or just looking for a place that knows how to throw a proper party, Bad Bobs delivers. Top marks for atmosphere, spontaneity, and that rare kind of magic you only find when the night takes you somewhere unexpected.

It was a great pub — the highlight was the lady painting clovers on faces, which, paired with a pint of Guinness, made for the perfect vibe. The music was amazing too.
