Balfes in Dublin

Steak was special along with the tomatoes and onions. Really solid Old Fashioned and Malbec. Anna was lovely.

Balfes is an excellent choice for a business lunch or work meeting. The location is a major selling point, situated within the Westbury Hotel and just a stone's throw from Grafton Street, which gives it a polished and professional feel. The food is consistently good, with a variety of options including some excellent vegetarian choices, so you can be sure there's something for everyone. While it is a bit on the pricier side, this is to be expected given the prime location and upscale setting.

Nice cocktails, but definitely overpriced

Been here twice now for dinner, couldn’t recommend it more, the atmosphere, staff and hospitality, and the food is always top notch. Will definitely be back and will always recommend to anyone.

It’s really not worth the money, €19 for an eggs Benedict/ eggs royal and the poached eggs were hard boiled. I asked to have them done again soft boiled and they came back again with another hard boiled egg, quite disappointing. Then when the food was brought back, they had removed the caviar from the plate?? Now the food was tasty but for that price point it’s just too much. And the toilets? I personally don’t feel comfortable having mixed bathrooms for men and women that just doesn’t fly right with me. Overall the food was ok but it’s very overpriced for what you get. I’d say give it a go and judge for yourself!

One of my best places in Dublin

I visited Balfes with a friend, we made a reservation for two a day in advance and were really looking forward to it. The service was excellent; the staff were friendly and very attentive. Unfortunately, the food didn’t live up to expectations. We ordered brunch, the ingredients were clearly high quality, and the vegetables were fresh, but the poached eggs were overcooked, which was disappointing. The avocado wasn’t ripe and was quite hard, and the sweet potato was also undercooked. Aside from those issues, the flavors were good. However, I wouldn’t return to pay €30 for a brunch that felt poorly executed.

Muy impresionado con Balfe , me he dejado caer en un par de veces para una copa rápida, pero noté la comida que sale de la cocina que parecía acogedor. Esta noche tuvimos un almuerzo / cena temprano. Toda la comida era de excelente calidad. Destacaron las gambas pero todo fue maravilloso. Personal encantador, pero volveremos para hacer nuestro camino a través de este menú.

Cuatro de nosotros para almorzar un lunes. Bastante ocupado - en el buen sentido. Personal amable y buena comida. Recomiendo el sándwich de carne. Sé que está unido a un hotel pero no lo siente. Muy agradable. ¿Es caro? Quizá, pero Dublín es una ciudad cara.
