Fabulous spot for lunch, especially for parents with small babies! We arrived with 3 buggies and the staff, Isabel and Maria S. couldn't have been more accommodating! So kind and relaxed and made our lunch so easy and enjoyable! Major win for new parents! Thank you all

Had a lovely meal with my Mam. Had to change the booking time, they could not have been more accommodating. Was looked after by Anna, absolutely delightful. So professional, always available, gave great insight into the menu and wine list. Highly recommend 👌

Delicious food and helpful staff. Relaxed atmosphere. If you're sensitive to the cold I'd be mindful where you sit during winter as the breeze from the door is very bad when it was open (but in fairness the staff are fast to close it each time).

I were here with my partner a Thursday night. The staff was super helpful giving us recomendations. Food came quickly and very tasty! The atmosphere was very nice too. A lovely night out! Thanks Isabel and Anna for such a great service!

I came here for dinner with my friend for his birthday and all I can say is wow, this place is truly special! Our incredible server Eduardo, who was so attentive and amazing, recommended me the seafood linguini which was absolutely delicious and which I will DEFINITELY be returning for again soon! Eduardo was so witty and funny and was full of so many different recommendations on drinks and really showed my friend a good time on his birthday! The atmosphere of the place was very lively and matched with the beautiful interior of the restaurant. Bravo Balfes we will be back 👏👏

While dining at your restaurant recently, my overall experience was unfortunately disappointing, particularly due to several service issues that significantly impacted the evening. After finishing the starter of oysters, the server clearing our plates accidentally spilled the oyster water from the tray onto my high-end suit jacket, which was placed on an adjacent chair. The server did not even notice the spill until I stood up and began using my napkin to try to clean it. Only then did he approach and hand me two paper napkins, without any expression of concern or apology. I was extremely upset by this careless incident. Additionally, while we understand that at a restaurant of this size, different servers may handle ordering, food delivery, and drinks, the inconsistency still affected the flow of service. Most frustrating was when we were ready to leave and asked for the bill—it took an unnecessarily long time to get anyone's attention. The server who finally processed the payment was not friendly and handled the transaction without warmth or courtesy. We also noted that while our coats were politely hung upon arrival, we were completely ignored when leaving and had to retrieve them ourselves from the coat stand. As for the food, it was average, and the prices felt rather high—though given the central location, this is somewhat understandable. However, the overall dining experience and service quality seriously need improvement. I expected much better from a restaurant with your reputation and setting.

Great spot for a meal just off Grafton street. The chicken Milanese was top class. Eduardo looked after us and gave excellent service throughout. Would happily go back again.

The soup was amazing and the service was perfect. Reasonably priced. So would definitely recommend.

This is our "go to" restaurant in Dublin (at par with Hugo's), a reliable spot that does things just as they should be done, without cutting any corners and keeping the client's experience in mind, we return there regularly... excellent atmosphere, very good food, brilliant service. This time we went there for dinner on Dec 31. Their prices went up a bit and we were seeing a lot of "mains only" orders around us, I guess this is the consequence, but happy to pay a little more to have an great eventing with no disappointments. Excellent oysters, the only suggestion would be to serve them with red vinaigre/shallots instead of the soy sauce...and maybe a slice of rye bread... (white bread was served following my request with no additional charge - thank you).

Handy for a coffee meeting! Staff always have brilliant service. Sparkling loos too. ✨
