Darwins in Dublin

Went here while staying in Dublin, the Waitress Denice was very friendly, the food was fantastic and the atmosphere was perfect for a Friday night. Highly recommended!

We only stopped by for a beer, but were very impressed by the friendliness and the atmosphere. Since we only ordered a small snack, we can't comment on the quality of the food. The sacks, however, were very tasty and just what we were looking for.

Had the surf and turf with a steak, cooked perfectly and the service is brilliant, shout out Denise 😎

Fantastic restaurant in the heart of Dublin. I can not recommend Darwins enough. If your looking for a tasty steak this is the restaurant for you! We both went for the Fillet with sides and it was delicious! The atmosphere is cosy and casual, big shout out to Denise who looked after us so well!! We will most definitely been returning on our next trip to Dublin.

Denise was great and awesome food

3 days in Dublin and this was our favorite restaurant. The food was only eclipsed by the atmosphere. Relax, eat, gaze into your wife's lovely eyes and enjoy.

Me and my partner sat outside for a drink after leaving somewhere for food. The service we received from Jess and Denise was just amazing. The two kindest and loveliest women - we were made feel right at home from the two of them. I couldn’t recommend their customer service more and even though we just stopped for a drink (not knowing it was even a restaurant) the reality of them being so nice and attentive makes us want to make plans to be there again for dinner. And we will deffo be making reservations for our next date night. Also shout out to ‘hot chef’ who we didn’t get to experience but is a fan favourite 🤣❤️

Had a reservation for 4 people for dinner , it was a great evening full of laughter fun and delicious food and drinkin a super cozy atmosphere ! My friends ordered a pint first and they came in and surprised him with a baby pint 😂😂 then later we got funny hats to take pictures staff was so lovely and cheery !!! 10/10 would recommend and the cocktails are super amazing & very tasty !!!!!!!!

I stumbled upon Darwin’s on my way back from St. Patrick’s Cathedral and was pleasantly surprised to snag a table without a reservation. The service was 'no-nonsense' efficient yet friendly. The rib-eye was cooked to a perfect medium-rare, a feat many places struggle with, the garlic butter sauce was the perfect finishing touch. For dessert, the polenta cake with orange syrup and saffron mascarpone was absolutely divine, paired beautifully with an elderflower spritz. Overall, a fantastic experience.

First of all, I want to highlight the food, because looks lie. The food is worth waiting for! Served in a very simple way, but it also makes the flavors come into focus. For my dish I had bearnaise sauce, but guys. That red wine sauce is worth traveling there for, it was fantastic! Simply wow factor for Ribeye. An insane noise level, which you really have to expect. But what brings us down is the incredibly long wait, it took 20-25 minutes from when we sat down at the table until we had to ask to order drinks. We had also decided on food, so we took the orders together. We were served the wine, but it turns out at the checkout that the wrong bottle had been put in. Follow-up and service at the tables is not good, and we were not asked if the food was good before we were about to pay. I had nothing to say about the food, but I could imagine a beer. So follow-up at the tables could have been better. The waitress we had was very nice and helpful once she was at the table. I would recommend the restaurant for the food, but recommend having plenty of time for dinner as the tables are not attended to adequately. But for a good meal, Darwins Tavern is recommended!
