Darwins in Dublin

Jumped out if the hotel to grab the dinner. Very nice establishment, good food and beer.

Fantastic burnt end burger. Michael took care of us and was a fantastic host, made sure the cocktails were to our liking and gave us a fun photo opportunity. Large, loud table nearby made it more difficult to talk amongst ourselves, otherwise a pleasant calm and welcoming space

I really enjoyed my burger. They didn't list all the toppings though so I had to remove the tomato and I hate to waste food.

My wife and I were visiting Dublin from the United States, and after more than 24 hours of traveling (and surviving mostly on airport snacks), we were ready for a real meal. Darwin's Tavern absolutely delivered. I love a good steak, and this was one of those meals that makes you stop talking for a minute just to appreciate what you're eating. The ribeye was beautifully charred on the outside while remaining a perfect medium-rare inside. The Irish steak butter was outstanding and complemented the beef without overpowering it. You can tell this restaurant's roots as a family butcher shop still influence everything they do. The atmosphere was welcoming, the staff were friendly, and it felt like the kind of place the locals would recommend rather than a tourist trap. If you're visiting Dublin and appreciate properly aged, grass-fed beef prepared with care, Darwin's Tavern deserves a spot on your itinerary. It was the perfect way to begin our Irish adventure, and I'd happily return the next time we're in Dublin.

Food was nice wasn't medium well as I asked I would say burnt on the outside and raw on the inside meat was still tasty but it was a ribeye and the fat wasn't cooked properly so could've been a lot nicer if cooked as I asked also the service was not upto scratch unfortunately the warmest greeting we got was when we were leaving 4 different times I tried to get the attention of servers who just walked straight by me also at one stage one of my party walked to the bar as he was waiting without a drink while we could not get any attention he was told to return to his seat and ask a server I thought that was a bit of a joke also was very warm inside no air conditioning until the food was finished then it magically came on lastly I personally rang the restaurant earlier in the day to make them aware that 2 of our party were celebrating a birthday to get someone to maybe sing happy birthday I was told no problem yet nobody followed through with that request either so our overall experience was ok though it could've been much better if the serving staff was more attentive I understand it was Saturday but it wasn't that busy and if that's the excuse hire more staff

We are from Buffalo, NY USA and these were the best wings we’ve ever had. Denise was amazing, even when the pub was busy she was so sweet and kind. We will be returning this trip and in the future.

This restaurant was amazing from start to finish. I arrived earlier than my reservation, but the staff were still able to seat me right away, which I really appreciated. The table was clean, comfortable, and not sticky, which immediately made a great first impression. The service was excellent and easily some of the best I experienced in the city. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and efficient without making the meal feel rushed. The steak was cooked perfectly, the food came out quickly, and the overall experience was outstanding. The ambiance was also excellent. It had the perfect feel for a quiet night out, but would also be a great place to enjoy dinner with friends. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant. Don’t miss the opportunity to eat here.

A reasonable selection. The food we had was tasty but one of the party commented on the saltiness of the food. This was addressed by removing from the bill without any fuss so no reduction on food score as a result. The reduction is due to the application of a 12.5% service charge that I had not seen mentioned on the menu and the apparent impatience of the server to move us off the table as soon as we had eaten. Overall, a nice spot.
