BAR 1661 in Dublin

Beautiful bar, great service, and a great focus on Irish spirits. While we generally prefer slightly simpler bar programs, we still enjoyed all of our drinks. The Irish Coffee stole the show- we split a second and visited the sister bar Sackville Lounge for 2 more the next night. The butter washed whiskey, coffee brewed with Guiness, and bread infused simple syrup added an incredible complexity of flavor. The Belfast Coffee was one of the most poitin forward drinks on the menu, so if you want a mixed drink where the poitin is the star definitely go for the Belfast. We will be back on our next trip to Dublin for more Irish coffees!!

This bar has a very chill vibe. Drinks and small bites 5 out of 5 highly recommend. No wait time but we did go on a Monday. Ray was our server and bites and drinks came out fast. Price was what you would expects to pay for a upscale bar like this one.

What a fantastic bar... Our waiter was friendly, exceedingly knowledgeable about all the cocktails, welcoming and attentive The food was fantastic The cocktails... AMAZING! Highly recommended.

This is a proper Cocktail bar! Definitely a must if you are into a good and well prepared cocktail! Shane was absolutely phenomenal, explaining part of the history and hard work behind the Bar! We loved it! And we will be coming back soon! We had 4 drinks total, Aurora, Belfast coffee, round Tower and … we forgot the name hahah the pòitìn margarita , all of them FANTASTIC! Enjoy people this is the place to go for a good drink!

I’m starting to love cocktails, and 1661 has definitely helped with that. The staff are amazing—so friendly and welcoming—and every cocktail is an experience. The menu is incredibly creative, and the atmosphere is perfect for spending hours with friends. The prices are reasonable for the quality and craftsmanship of the drinks. It’s the perfect spot for anniversaries, date nights, or a girls’ night out. Highly recommend!

The owners have taken cocktails to an entirely new level. Excellent Place and Staff :) They don't have a menu – they have excellent cocktail storybooks... :)

Super delightful and delicious experience! I appreciate how much time the staff spent slexplaining their unique drinks and the history of poitin. I wish I had more time in Dublin to try more of the menu!
