Bar Italia in Dublin

I really enjoyed my meal here, staff were very accommodating and managed to seat us even though we hadn't book (I would book though). It's an actual Italian rather than a Italian thats changed it menu to meet the needs of the tourists who pretend their Italian. Don't order the Guinness.

Arguably the best Italian restaurant in Ireland! Delicious food, authentic taste and ingredients - the quality of the pasta itself makes it worth a visit. Great friendly service, good selection of wines, really feels like a restaurant in Italy. Excellent!

We had the most amazing experience here. The owners run the show and are completely invested in providing the best customer experience. I had the beef shank tagliatelle and my wife had the Risotto di Mare. Both were amazing and generous portions. Best meal in Dublin so far!!!Highly recommend.

A gorgeous restaurant! I went with a group of 8 and the staff were so accommodating and pleasant. Each dish was better than the last, especially the risotto and carbonara. The wine was lovely too! I can't wait to go again☺️

2nd time I was at this lovely Italian restaurant in the heart of Dublin. Good and fresh food. Limited menu which is a good sign if you ask me. Very friendly staff. If you want a change from local pub food this is a great choice!

Service was so slow, we waited more than an hour for the food to come! We came a long way to try the truffle which they said wasn’t available at the moment which was very disappointing. We ordered many other dishes and appetizers which were fine except the carbonara pasta which was extremely salty! The waiter said that this is how the authentic carbonara tastes as they get their ingredients from Italy! I’m not quite sure if this is true tho. Overall, the place didn’t meet my expectations at all.

The bolognese is what drew us in, it was authentic and delicious! The desserts were also fun and delicious.

I had a truly wonderful experience at this restaurant—from the warm and professional staff to the excellent service and espresso martini. I ordered a fish dish that personally wasn’t quite my taste, simply because of the sauce, but without me expressing any complaints, the staff very kindly offered to adjust the bill. That level of attentiveness and hospitality really stood out to me. Special thanks to the Italian lady and the gentleman with glasses whose names I unfortunately forgot to ask. Looking forward to coming back again soon.
