Bar Italia in Dublin

Wow! What a find. From the moment you arrive you are really well looked after. The service is great, you are not hurried and the staff do their utmost to ensure you have a really good meal. The food is fabulous! I would happily recommend Bella Italia and will be sure to book when we next visit Dublin.

We booked online via Google Maps about 1.5 hours in advance – no problem. The food was very good, the service very pleasant, and the restaurant cozy and elegant. I would choose the main room again. Prices are a bit higher, but appropriate for the quality! Our daughter is 11 years old, and the waitress asked her age. She then received a €5 discount on her tagliatelle; we only noticed it on the bill.

I had lunch at Bar Italia on 15/07/26, and it was some of the best food I have tasted in a long time. We were a large group, so we all got to sample a little bit of everything that was ordered. From delicious pastas to fish and meat: everything was cooked to perfection. Service was quick, friendly, professional, and attentive. I will definitely try to eat here again when I'm back in Dublin.

I had the most amazing time at the restaurant they have facilities for people with low mobility the waitress (chayane) was very friendly she gave us the best advice about the wine really surprised us with her advice the food always came amazing 👏🏾

Had a fantastic meal here. There were 11 of us and Giacomo and the rest of the staff were lovely throughout. Had some of the best pasta I’ve had in Dublin - I had the fiumacino, but also tried the aragosta and the cacio e pepe, all of which were excellent. Would happily eat here again!

We've eaten here before and always recommended it, which made this visit a mixed one. We booked two weeks in advance to celebrate my partner's birthday and noted my partner's allergies (nuts, nutmeg, sesame) at the time of booking. On arrival, the team confirmed the allergy again, mentioned there were nuts in the kitchen, and asked if we were carrying epipen, sensible questions, and we appreciated the care taken at that point. The starters and main course were excellent, genuinely as good as we remembered from our last visit. Unfortunately, things went downhill after the mains were cleared. We struggled to get any staff attention for a while, and when we finally asked for dessert menus, they arrived, and there was a further delay before a different staff member came to collect them again, telling us we couldn't order dessert because of the allergy. This was the first time all evening dessert had been flagged as a problem, despite the allergy being declared two weeks earlier and again at the table. Having had dessert here before with the same allergy on record, it was surprising to be told this only after we'd eaten most of the meal. No alternative was offered, which left the evening ending on an awkward, unresolved note rather than the celebration we'd planned. The owner did come over after we'd paid to apologise and take responsibility, but by that point it felt more like damage control than a genuine fix, and it didn't change how the evening had gone. The food itself remains genuinely good, but the way allergy communication broke down between booking and dessert, and how it was handled in the moment, has changed how we feel about coming back. Worth sorting out, because the kitchen clearly can do this well when it wants to.

Great Italian Places in City Center right off the iconic bridge. Staff are so welcoming and smile to serve Atmosphere is comfortable luxury type Good I had “pizza” and pasta and Cured Ham and desserts The Pinseria is good. Tasty and not salty Pasta is top notch. I had the traditional carbonara pasta which is great great great. Ham is so so Dessert. tiramisu is excellent while their special Napoleon style is not up to what I expected Overall. Should come and recommended people to come and try Great variety of wines

Went here for a family birthday last week. We had a really lovely authentic Italian meal, prices are reasonable and staff could not have been nicer. Delicious pasta fumicino, sea food, pizza and fabulous Tiramasu ! They very kindly sang happy birthday to the family member! Would definitely go back.
