It’s spacious, modern, and well organised, making it ideal for both short breaks and longer stops during a journey. The range of food options is excellent, with choices like Supermac’s, Papa John’s, a bakery, and good coffee, so there’s something for everyone. The toilets are clean and well maintained, even during busy periods, which is always a big plus for a motorway stop. Fuel facilities are extensive, with plenty of pumps, and the EV fast-charging hub is a standout feature for electric vehicle users. Parking is ample for cars, buses, and trucks, and the site feels safe and easy to navigate. Staff are generally friendly and efficient, even when the plaza is busy. The small visitor centre highlighting Barack Obama’s Irish roots adds a unique and interesting touch that sets this service station apart from others. The only downside is that it can get very busy at peak times, and prices are slightly higher than off-motorway options — but that’s expected for a service plaza of this size and quality. Overall, Barack Obama Plaza is a reliable, clean, and well-equipped stop that offers far more than the average motorway service area and is definitely worth stopping at.

A very nice place to stop. There's plenty of food options. I stopped here during an organized trip, and if you need to refuel, it's worth stopping here.

A giant surprise, in the middle of nowhere - a gas station called Barrack Obama Plaza! Nice restaurant and clean facilities...

Convenient place to stop on the way from Dublin to the Limerick/Kerry direction. Can be quite busy but plenty of food options from coffee, to carvery, to burgers.
