Basil in Dublin

Really enjoyable experience here. Tried another pizza place nearby who don't even bother answering your calls or emails so delighted to find this alternative. Emma (hope I got that right) our host was so welcoming to my daughter and I. Great garlic bread to start, followed bymargarita and spicy honey pepperoni pizzas. Wonderful homemade desserts too. Will call again, thank you

Nice place for a pizza or other Italian food.

Hadn’t been to this restaurant for a few years, they were able ti accommodate our family before a show in the 3arena. Staff are very friendly and service is fast, the 9 inch pizzas are perfect if you’re not too hungry, very tasty and cooked well. This establishment is B.Y.O.B and has corkage fees. That was the only surprise, other than that id still highly recommend this place

We visited Basil as a family of four (2 adults and 2 children) in August 2024. We were warmly greeted and throughout our visit, the service was excellent (polite, friendly and attentive). The food was excellent too. My wife and I shared a spaghetti carbonara and focaccia and the children shared a pizza. All the food was superb - really beautifully prepared and served. Overall, we were very happy to have found this hidden gem in Dublin. Thanks to everyone involved for a lovely meal.

Nice little casual restaurant. Pizza was lovely. Daughter got spaghetti bolognese & also thought was nice. Whats turned me off - We were asked if we wanted garlic sauce with pizza which we said yes and the we asked for parmasean cheese for the spaghetti. Very small bit of cheese so a while later my daughter asked for a little more. The bill arrived and we had been charged for the garlic sauce and 2 portions of parmasean cheese?! As we paid the bill the waitress also asked if we wanted to leave a tip on card. Would have left more of a tip had she not asked or charged for a tiny bit if garlic sauce or few shavings of cheese. Pity as won't return because of this.
