One of those amazing moments yesterday where a random stop off the highway turns out to be perfect. Wonderful food and spectacular coffee in magical little spot next to the river. Best lunch we had in Ireland.

I’d gladly return to the Bastion Kitchen. The food is of excellent quality and reasonably priced. The cafe is cosy and the staff are nice. I had the smashed avocado toast and it was delicious!

Wonderful old location. Walk to Seans and the Snug. Several restaurants as well. Need to be in shape for 2 flights of steps to most rooms.

A lovely little place with healthy yet super tasty options. The girls are really kind, the place is intimate and very welcoming. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you for a revitalizing and delicious lunch.

Great spot can confirm the high reviews are well founded. Seating is limited so be mindful of that. I got a nice window seat. Place was jammers- 12.30 to 1.30 on a Monday.

14/06/2026: Food was delicious, however we were shoved beside a large table where I couldn't hear the person across from me. Possibly, due to the table felt ignored by waitstaff But the food was very good.
12/06/2026: Food was average. Ambience was nice but they made us sit at the back even though there were plenty space in the main dining room, just because we didn’t have a booking. I wouldn’t recommend going without a reservation. Pizza was just alright. The main pasta dish had chicken which was on the border of going bad.

06/07/2026: Delicious Thai food! We went in downstairs and were a little surprised, but it got even better as we went upstairs. The lemonade was also incredibly tasty. The ambiance was nice, with hard chairs. 😊
05/07/2026: Delicious Thai food with a dedicated vegan menu. Full of flavour and quick attentive service. Thoroughly recommended. Please note the restaurant bio on here says dog friendly, alas they are not.
