My experience at this cafe was excellent. The staff were so welcoming to me and my dog Alfie. They provided some treats, a water bowl and even a little mat for him to relax on. Alfie is a nervous dog and the staff were so kind, they went above and beyond. I had the mushrooms on toast breakfast which was so tasty and a lovely coffee too. I would highly recommend this cafe and most especially to anyone travelling with their dog.

The food was delicious and the service was really sweet. We were a bit too early, but she got ready for us anyway.

Belgian approved Belgian waffles (although less sweet and slightly harder than the traditional Liège waffle)!

It not was my BEST choice but enough to have a fast lunch.

Amazing food and staff always friendly and helpful

We came with high hopes and we're attracted by the promise of river views and praise for the food. The positives: service was swift and friendly. Shame that there's heavy reliance on ordering online via the QR codes on the tables, effectively having you decide on what tip you choose to pay BEFORE the food is served. My advice: hold fire, because... Food was okay albeit with 'healthy' portion sizes. The sourdough bread barely deserved that name. I like mine with an open crumb and chewy crust. What I got was a cheap supermarket version with a texture that resembled a cross between cheap industrial toast and rusks. The flat whites were distinctly average and another star is docked for refusing to serve a complimentary glass of tap water with a salty breakfast dish and a caffeinated beverage. In summary. Take a short walk around Athlone before choosing your breakfast venue. There are plenty of options.

Great food and delightful staff

We ordered four meals, two from the kids menu, and everything was great. Service was friendly and efficient. The kids' dessert was made with lots of extra requests taken into account for my fussy kids. Much appreciated! A few wooden kids toys in the corner was a bonus too.
