Beaumont House in Dublin

I've been to the Beaumont House twice. Once for an evening drink, and once for lunch the day after Mother's Day. I love this type of pub, as it is reminiscent of pubs that I frequented in my dim and distant 20s , dare I say it, in the UK. Anyway, I felt very much at home and they have a lovely cider on tap. The day after Mother's Day, we went for a bite to eat for lunch. Now I will admit that we were much the worse for wear, and probably shouldn't have ordered food, but we did make a valiant effort. My son and I ordered roast corned beef and my daughter a pasta dish. Again I must stress that we were under the weather and so didn't really enjoy the meal to it's fullest, but I did think that €52 was a tad pricey for the food we ordered. This didn't include any drinks. I do look forward to going again under healthier circumstances, so that we could feel we got better value for money.

Had dinner yesterday 5.45 chicken maryland. Chicken like rubber around the edge like leftover from day before then over cooked. Bredcrums on fruit tast like fish. Not good. The roast of the day was good.

Nicely decorated and comfortable ambiance. Service was okay and food was okay. We stayed in the hotel there (average as well) and there wasn’t much else around. But it was decent and easy.

Went for the a la carte menu Worst roast dinner I ever had, I had a full portion of corned beef, and my wife had a half portion of turkey and ham, both were the same size and no roast potatoes, when queried it was confirmed I had got a full dinner. Would not recommend to anyone who is hungry, very bad value for money. Will not be back!
