Bella Italia Castletroy in Limerick

We always enjoy visiting Bella Italia in Castletroy. The food is consistently delicious, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The staff are exceptionally friendly, attentive, and professional, making every visit a pleasant experience. The service is always excellent, and we feel genuinely welcomed each time we come. The pizza is particularly outstanding—authentic Italian style, freshly prepared, and full of flavour. It is some of the best Italian pizza we have had in the area. The other dishes on the menu are also very tasty and prepared to a high standard. Bella Italia is a wonderful restaurant with great food, excellent service, and a friendly team. We highly recommend it and look forward to returning again.

Food is beyond fabulous & is consistently, fresh, delicious & served by attentive, professional & absolutely delightful, staff. Always say the most wonderful atmosphere here, if EVERY eatery or business could capture what Bella Italia's staff, produce & service does - Ireland would be a better place!! ☺️ ~From a frequent winger; must give credit due to this.

My wife and I eat here twice on our stay in Limerick. Staff were very friendly and chatty. We were made feel very welcome and like we were been regularly customers. I have the spaghetti carbonara both visits. Real comfort food. Wife had the tomato ravioli the first night and the same me the second night. Well worth a visit.

The waitress who greeted us wasn’t very welcoming - no smile and a rather cold attitude. It felt like we were a burden. Thankfully, the waitress who took our order and served us was much friendlier, as was the one at the till. I ordered the Tagliatelle Pollo e Funghi, but the sauce was quite watery, and there were only five pieces of chicken on the plate. I still have a voucher to use, so I’ll have to return—but I won’t be rushing back

There's nothing wrong with Bella Italia, but there's certainly nothing right either. You walk in and you immediately get hit with decor and layout fit for Eddie Rocket's diner, not an Italian restaurant. I ordered the carbonara with side of garlic bread. It was €23.95. It was fine, but it's not €20 food, it's €15 euro served in a diner. The staff were lovely, the problem is with the owner that thinks their prices are competitive. For €20 main courses there's much better Italians in Limerick. I can't say there was anything wrong with my experience, but I won't be coming back.
