Berkana Bakery in Waterford

What a perfect, casual spot for our afternoon stop. The chicken pesto sandwich was fabulous with fresh ingredients and delicious homemade bread. The fantastic home baked cookies were the perfect ending!

The couple who owns the cafe are so lovely and friendly. It instantly became my favorite cafe in town. The focaccia is out of this world.

We walked past Berkana when we first arrived in Waterford and noticed the sandwiches that people were eating on the patio. On our way back, we stopped for a late lunch and ordered 2 sandwiches…. The turkey special and the parm ham special. The white bread had a soft crumb and a crispy crust. An amazing masterpiece! We also had a homemade apple/raspberry tart… perfection! We chatted with the owner and came to realize that she and her partner bake and create all the breads, pastries and treats themselves! On our way out she gave us a lovely pastry. Try this cute little sandwich/salad, coffee and pastry shop…. You’ll be glad you did!
