An interesting place worth visiting! Very atmospheric inside! We arrived after 20:00 and didn't have time to try the cuisine. The coffee is great!

Popped in for a celebratory meal on a Tuesday afternoon. There was a nice buzz about the place with lots of happy looking customers, nice music, an open fire, and combined with the tasteful and cosy 'cottage' decor the atmosphere was great. All the staff were friendly, attentive, accomodating, and very considerate. The food was not over-priced (consistent with similar restaurants) and was really good. We'd seafood linguine, battered fish and chips, and a steak sandwich, a glass of wine for one of us, and the meal was followed by a round of tea. The chunky chips were perfectly crispy and everything was simply delicious and with good portions. Couldn't complain about anything. My mother is very hard to please when you bring her out for food, as she's such a good cook herself, and she was delighted with every aspect of the afternoon meal, so five stars from me.

Beautiful seafood and vegetable soups with mouth watering sandwiches. Lovely atmosphere in this old pub cum restaurant. Staff very helpful and informative.

Nice cosy rooms with well spaced tables. Excellent service, great food and good value. Definitely recommended.
