Bijou in Dublin

Lazy lunch with parish wimmin. The menu was a good assortment of all ages and larger more substantial offerings. The scampi was the bizz. Place was full (as usual) so somewhat noisy. Not a complaint - just an observation. Some might find the sensory overload challenging. The outside pavement dining area was available for smaller groups 2 - 4.

Nice meal. Portions were on the smallish size. Great service though.

We visited with family celebrating a first Communion and the food was really good and the staff so helpful.

Set in the small but bustling suburb of Rathgar, situated between Terenure and the larger Rathmines. Haven't had a bad meal here and the resteraunt has been a long established success story. Food is always excellent with good options and variety.9n the menu. Steak I had this evening was perfectly done with a beautiful flavour. Onion rings were a little disappointing. Mainly batter with little onion flavour, felt like they had been reheats. Warm duck salad was very nice but very large for a starter. Atmosphere Is lovely with mellow lighting and a view of the kitchens. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. I gave a 4 star rating for just little issues but I wouldn't hesitate recommending. the place. Suitable for larger group sizes. You can expect to pay around 230 for a three course meal for 3 people with a drink each. Pretty standard for Dublin these days. Nearby parking is limited but you might find some at the back of the nearby Bank with a couple of minutes walk away.

Had a big family gathering for dinner upstairs last night. The venue itself is lovely, the decor and lighting is great. The food was good. The let down of the evening was the blonde waitress who was extremely blunt and rude. It felt like being there was an inconvenience. I’m quite taken back at how she spoke to me when I didn’t hear her get my attention to order. I can only hope she was having a bad day and isn’t always so impolite to customers as it really left a bad taste in my mouth.

Had dinner here on a Friday evening. Main dish tasted excellent, but the portion could have been a bit bigger. Service was good, nice atmosphere as well.

I never write reviews but I have to about this place. This was single handedly the best brunch I’ve had in dublin (I’ve lived here for almost 4 years). Absolutely fantastic, great portion sizes, good value, full of flavour. 10/10 will be coming back all the time!

It was nice but background music awful through muffled speakers. It was just noise... Food was very good. White Wine could have been more chilled and I didn't like being pressured to leave the table after lunch.
