Black Cat in Galway

Beautifully furnished rooms, but too small if you have two big luggages. We couldn’t open them at the same time and it felt quite uncomfortable to move around in such a small space when you are on longer travels. The food at the restaurant was great!

Super location. Comfy bed and good shower. Room was compact, you wouldn’t swing a cat in it 🤣 Tea making facilities were in the hallway as there was not enough space in the bedroom, which isn’t ideal when some of the guests decided to make tea at 1 a.m. and woke me up with all the noise.

Beautiful interior located down the main street by the beach. Fantastic service with great food!!!

Black cat did not disappoint in any way. A beautiful intimate setting in a period building in salthill . The staff were friendly and attentive but not overly so. The food was outstanding. So much so we ordered most of the menu!! Perfectly cooked and very well presented and a taste sensation hard off to the chefs. Also very reasonably priced for the quality. It’s the perfect place to meet family or friends or as we had a very nice romantic date night . Myself and my partner both agreed it’s the best tapas we have ever had in Ireland. Do yourself a favor and book a table 😊

My wife and I had a lovely meal here. Every one of our tapas were lovely. Wine was nice and the staff were very nice too. Id recommend Black cat without hesitation for a nice dining experience.

I'm noting the food! We discovered the Black Cat restaurant this evening. A very good tasting experience. The service was impeccable, the food excellent! We'll be back with great pleasure!

Absolutamente fantástica experiencia gastronómica. El ambiente era acogedor y bien pensado, con un servicio atento durante toda la noche. La comida fue entregada con prontitud y muy bien presentada. Destacaron las tiernas mejillas de ternera, el rico y suave paté de hígado, las vieiras perfectamente cocidas y el sabroso pez monje. La crema brûlée destacaba, sedosa y con una parte superior perfectamente crujiente. La única decepción fue el plato de queso, que se sintió sobreprecio por la porción y la selección. En general, una comida memorable y vale la pena una visita.

Restaurante reservado para una celebración de cumpleaños. Trajimos un pastel casero al restaurante. Hay requisitos dietéticos en la familia por lo que el pastel era vegano y sin gluten. Nos informaron que bajo ninguna circunstancia servirían el pastel o incluso nos permitirían servirnos mientras estábamos en el restaurante. Un postre gratis fue servido a la cumpleañera más tarde, pero no pudo compensar el sentimiento negativo generado por la negativa a permitirnos celebrar como estaba previsto. En general una experiencia decepcionante.
