Blackrock Cottage in Galway

We visited on a Sunday and had to wait around 40 minutes, but the food was absolutely worth the wait. Everything we ordered was incredibly delicious, and I especially loved the pancakes! We really enjoyed our experience and would definitely recommend this place.

Whether you step across the door in sunshine or rush in, due to inclement weather you'll be warmly greeted. Architecturally designed for hospitality warmth and functionality it captures the essence of its surroundings. Serving Breakfast, Brunch and Dinner their menus are carefully selected - with ingredients locally sourced. Their famous brown bread is worth purchasing before you leave. If something doesn't feel right they'll willingly offer a solution. Disappointment is not on this Team's menu so catch their eye for a win/win. Plenty of additional space too for small weddings, office occasions, barbecues etc with indoor and outdoor seating. This is a destination venue with a nice and calming atmosphere.

We absolutely loved this place, which was recommended to us by an Irishman. As French people, we were very touched by the warm welcome from the staff, especially one young blonde woman (who had traveled to Nice, I hope you recognize yourself!) who was so smiley and lovely. Thank you! As for the rest, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves; everything was delicious. The place is beautiful and very welcoming; we felt right at home. We will definitely come back for our next trip to the wonderful country of Ireland. Go raibh maith agat. 🇮🇪 Go raibh míle maith agat. ☘️

We had our second wedding anaversery dinner with the blackrock cottage .service from the beginning was wonderful and we felt welcome and the music in the restaurant really gave a beutaful atmosphere .service was brilliant and the waitress was knowledgeable of the food and recommendations.at the end of the meal they gave us a happy anniversary plate and wish us happy anniversary which made it for me as we just mentioned it to the server when we were ordering .we can't wait to go back and try some more of the menu .if your looking for a special night out with friend our your partner please take my advice go you won't regret it .

One of the best meals we had in Ireland! A delightful surprise on the plate in this ideally located spot, perfect for a meal near a few dips in the sea. I was expecting basic tourist fare, but everything was truly excellent, beautifully presented, and very reasonably priced. Friendly service. A great place to remember!

When for breakfast ha d the porridge it was amazing staff friendly and helpful really lovely inside

We got seated right away for lunch. It looks small but they have lots of different areas to sit. The service was great. All the food was wonderful. We had the Bao buns, the lamb kofta, the chowder and the pancakes.

As an Aussie, I am lucky enough to get great steaks back home. This was the best steak I have ever had abroad, the courses, drinks and service was amazing and really added to our time in Galway. Hope to go back one day.

You will not be disappointed in your visit here, weather permitting the outdoor space is amazing

What a fantastic place to eat..just on the shores of Galway Bay..beside the diving board at the end of Salthill Prom.. Food is fantastic, staff so helpful and pleasant.. Indoor and outdoor dining..also has its takeaway area if ur just walking 🚶‍♂️ past..Don't walk past..go in and enjoy..👌.. Definitely a place I'll return to..!!
