Blackrock Cottage in Galway

We got seated right away for lunch. It looks small but they have lots of different areas to sit. The service was great. All the food was wonderful. We had the Bao buns, the lamb kofta, the chowder and the pancakes.

As an Aussie, I am lucky enough to get great steaks back home. This was the best steak I have ever had abroad, the courses, drinks and service was amazing and really added to our time in Galway. Hope to go back one day.

You will not be disappointed in your visit here, weather permitting the outdoor space is amazing

What a fantastic place to eat..just on the shores of Galway Bay..beside the diving board at the end of Salthill Prom.. Food is fantastic, staff so helpful and pleasant.. Indoor and outdoor dining..also has its takeaway area if ur just walking 🚶‍♂️ past..Don't walk past..go in and enjoy..👌.. Definitely a place I'll return to..!!

It is actually big inside with another section on the side and a lovely terrasse outside for sunny days. It is located at the end of the prom which is nice and the views from the front cottage room are beautiful. The inside is rustic at the front whereas the other section is bright and modern. There is also a take-away outside at the back where u can enjoy their terrasse ☕️🍵🫖. Nice place, I would recommend. I had the open sandwich with salmon and crab, nice bread but i wouldn't get it again, nothing special to it for the price.

Had dinner here tonight and it was absolutely beautiful, seriously good menu so it was a tough choice but starters (salt cod beignets, tandoori gambas) were delicious and the cote de bouef for main was unreal. Have been here often for breakfast too and it never fails! A phenomenal addition to the local area 👏

Was ok nothing special for the price

Had a great meal in this restaurant, service and food was excellent. I will definitely be back. The only thing I can suggest is that they refurbish the bench seat as the pleather is peeling off and increase the 0.0 Alcohol menu.

Gorgeous little spot for lunch. We ate outside and it was a lovely place for lunch. The chowder was delicious and so was the soda bread which I don’t usually eat. Definitely worth a visit!

It’s my favourite place to eat around the city. You’ll always get a table if you don’t mind a wait. I enjoyed the hash browns with a side of sausages. I never order hash browns but theirs come on a creamy corn base with wilted greens and seasonal salad tucked in there. Yum.
