Beautiful restaurant by the water. We added our name to the waiting list and went for a walk along the seafront until they called to let us know our table was ready. We had the chicken salad and salmon & crab open sandwich. Food was delicious. We also enjoyed a rhubarb pavlova. Thank you to all the staff and management at Blackrock Cottage for an enjoyable dining experience.

Was so looking forward to visiting this restaurant. Went with two friends for lunch. Ordered fish tacos along with one friend, they were very dry and just not as tasty as I was expecting. Other friend ordered a chicken roll (day light robbery IMO!)Place was very busy with some very sad looking waiting staff. Side note.....food so expensive for what you get. Overall quite disappointed but may give it another go

It was really good! It wasn’t life altering but I would def go back. The bread was fire and the clam chowder was really good too but those things are hard to mess up you know so that’s why I can’t give this an astounding rating. I got the poke bowl for main, my dad was obsessed but tbh I was unimpressed. Dessert was 🤷‍♀️ nothing special. Our waitress was cute and wholesome

Excellent. I now understand all the rave about Blackrock Cottage. I’ve had breakfast, lunch and dinner finally in the cottage, and each time was just a delight. Great coffee, great pastries and even better friendly and hardworking staff. Ye are doing great Blackrock!

Food is really great, nothing to complain about it, but they are right now kicking us out of the place in a way that it was a bit unpolite, forcing us to pay while my partner was literally drinking her coffee. I understand they have a lot of people waiting, but it would have been appreciated if they have leave us time just to finish our coffees

29/02/2024: I have been looking forward to visiting here for quite some time and finally got my wish on a quiet Wednesday afternoon. A cosy little spot but with a lot of care put into it, between fresh flowers and decorations, and spotlessly clean. Service was prompt and friendly and helpful and menus change regularly so they advised to check their Instagram to keep up to date as they post all their dishes there. I ordered the zurek soup and it exceeded expectations - the sausage in the soup was absolutely gorgeous and the soup itself delicious. It honestly brought me joy and brightened up the day immensely! I didn't have time for dessert but plan on getting back as soon as possible and slowly working my way through the menu. There's lots of little touches too that just show that everything has been thought through with regards to caring for the customer that goes beyond the food. Toilets were spotless and there were little touches like free pads and wipes and a little step for kiddos to be able to wash their hands without splashes. Will most certainly be returning!

03/04/2024: Excellent establishment. We started with dinner. The welcome is very good and the waiters and waitresses were very patient with our questionable English lol. Then we leaned against the bar. A few beers with the added bonus of a guitarist and violinist who set the party mood. They invited us to sing Sardou’s Connemara… but yeah we weren’t ready for that lol. Plus when we were leaving, they played La Marseillaise for us. In short, an excellent evening. To do and redo :-)
