Boathouse Bistro in Mullingar

Limp half-rotten salad, overcooked fish - did not even stay for dessert. The service was not good either. No engagement by staff (it was not too busy). A huge disappointment given the positive prior word.

Fresh black sole and halibut. The black sole was the most delicious fish I've had in a long time. Sauteed with lime lemon & butter. Bravo.

A great restaurant right on the water. Fresh fish and something for everyone. I highly recommend it.

What a great restaurant. There was nothing to complain. Super location directly at Kenmare Sound with al fresco dining option and a very interesting menu- we tried five dishes and they all were exceptionally good: Seafood Chowder, Bang bang broccoli, Chicken, Salmon and Fish/Chips. Whenever we‘re in the area we will come back. Prices might be a bit higher but they are adequate!!

Just a fabulous venue for any reason. Food was amazing and service was excellent.

Out of the way but worth the effort. Food was exceptional.
