Boca Cafe in Dublin

I asked for regular coffee. I even said I don’t see it on your menu, but do you have it? The lady said yes; it is called an americano. I said , no , I don’t want an Americano, I want just regular coffee. She asked what is that I said beans, boiled, and water. She said great I’ll get you that. She made the second barista asked me what I thought. I told her I do not see regular coughing on your menu, but the first girl said you had it. I told her I did not see a coffee maker anywhere, only an espresso machine. She said yes that is all we have. I will get you an Americano. I asked for just the shots with no water of espresso. I was given an Americano and told, the cream was on the counter. I did not want water down coffee, I would prefer straight espresso as I explained. The cream they said was available was only milk, not actually heavy cream, or pouring cream, just plain milk. They should make sure that if they tell someone and have them pay for something they would be able to get it, or be polite enough to understand there was miscommunication and offer a refund.

Been here for weekday lunch and weekday prework breakfast. Turkey sandwich, breakfast sandwich, cappuccino and oat cappuccino were all delicious. Breakfast sandwich is perhaps a bit salty with all the pork fatty meat. The interior is lovely and there is ample seating both times I've visited. They only had two vegetarian options I saw for sandwich options (one being a special). They charge 50c for alternative milk which is the biggest driver of me not giving them 5 stars.

The food was very nice and couldn't be faulted. The only minor issue I have is that there isn't much variety that suited me and signs stating there's no changes allowed to the menu items which limited selection further. This means, however, that what they make, they make really well and it makes it easier for staff to deal with larger volumes of customers quickly so you're not waiting too long. Overall, a great place, with great food and a nice atmosphere. I actually went twice in the same day 😁

Decent sandwich, chips all in super small pieces like someone had fun crashing the package containing them, 11 Euro is kind on the expensive side

Absolutely love this place, some of the best sandwiches and breakfasts in ireland, the owner is a soup nazi which increases my enjoyment, dont mess with him🤣

Looks nice, but every single sandwich on the menu has cheese and can’t be altered - I don’t want to leave a bad review but no provisions really for people who can’t eat dairy
