Stayed at the Talbot Hotel in Stillorgan and had a great experience. Niamh at reception was especially helpful and went out of her way to assist with everything. Really nice hotel overall. Highly recommend.

Stayed here for a few nights whilst decorating going on at home! Excellent hotel in every respect. Room was contemporary with beautiful bathroom and superb TV. Food in the Brass bar and breakfast in the restaurant were of a very high standard. Staff were attentive and very professional, helpful and friendly. Highly recommended in an excellent location.

The Talbot is in a quiet residential setting on route 11, around 10-11 miles from Centre City Dublin, accessible via the E2 bus (have cash or buy your Leap card in advance). Aircoach stop is right across the street and for €10 (advance booking) takes you directly back to DUB. The shore and park are around 2km from the hotel, accessible by bus or on foot, as is the quaint village of Blackrock. With my warm greeting at check-in I was fortunate to get an ocean-facing room at the rear of the building. The building itself felt made of lesser quality materials that are not conducive to noise reduction. That said, the rooms and bath area were beautifully decorated. I did need to frequently air the room out cracking the window because of a lingering stale odor that’s common for hotels in climates with constant high humidity. There is also a recycling area down below so you may hear breaking glass every now and again but it’s not too disruptive. The bed itself was comfortable (down feather duvet was perfect!), but the pillows were cheap, flat, uncomfortable and contained the odor of previous guests. I opted to buy food at the local Tesco for personal convenience and to save money (lovely outdoor mall is close by). The coffee, tea, and biscuits were a nice touch to enjoy in the room every morning and afternoon. Tea service is available in the lobby. Pictures are of local sights accessible on foot. Thank you for having me. I would definitely return.

Very nice hotel. The rooms are big enough - we were supposed to be in a twin but it was a triple and there was plenty of space. The only downside was the shower - I do find a very decent shower is a must in hotel rooms but sadly are let down constantly. This shower was in the bath and the shower head was not great. But the dining area for both evening meal and then breakfast was great. The food is very good I would say. The breakfast was superb with plenty of choice. The service was also superb. The staff were very friendly and always willing to help. Bala on reception was particularly helpful and willing to help in any way! In terms of location, its a little bit far out of the centre but really not a problem for getting to the centre. Its not within walking distance of the city centre unfortunately but there is plenty around the area in terms of food and drink. Altogether, I would say this is a really decent hotel and would have no hesitation in returning for our bi-annual rugby trip.

08/03/2026: Hiked the trail and lost my phone. Someone turned it in here and the manager was kind enough to call me and kept it behind the bar until I was able to fetch it. Top class !! Had a nice pint of Guiness and I was on my way. Thanks summit inn team !

Lord Mayor's Lounge

28/02/2026: Excellent experience for afternoon tea. Refills of sandwiches and scones are unlimited. The scones and pastries are truly delicious. The only slight drawback was that the sandwiches were a little bland. A wide selection of teas and a few coffees are available. The setting is beautiful (special mention for the fresh flowers). Thank you, Claudia, for serving us so professionally.
24/02/2026: The best tea we’ve ever had. AMAZING gluten free!
