We were there for a surprise birthday party. Brilliant venue brilliant music, brilliant staff.

Great food and service in a charming town

Today it was very busy and waiting time to order was long which to be fair is not usually the case. When food arrived it was delicious as always.

Some of the best gastro-pub food you will find anywhere; it is delicious.

Food was outstanding, but service was very poor , finished our dinner waited 25 minutes to order dessert, we had to go and get the dessert menu ourselves, table was not cleared after our dinner for 30 minutes, then we had to make our way to the bar to order dessert, another 20 minutes waiting for that , and finally when I asked for the bill another 15 minutes waiting, but the food was as good as you will get anywhere

Lovely place. Good coffee. Some of the staff are really friendly. Inside and outside tables. The inside is really comfy. Would love if they accept well behaved dogs inside.

Excellent food and service, staff really friendly, we had a lovely two hours.

Had the special (roast chicken with stuffing, wrapped in bacon with red onion chutney and thyme gravy-photoed)... It was delightful, chicken was perfectly cooked and everything was verh well balanced. Friend had the cod and chips, lovely fish battered perfectly and other friend had the lasagne... Everything was really well made and flavoured. Would for sure go back 😊
