Brown Morel in Newcastle west

Lovely place to dine if you’re passing by or on holiday. Most of the food was great. They have an outside area but wouldn’t recommend to sit out if the sun is strong. The staff that served us was professional and helpful!

Had a great meal at Brown Morrel. The food was very good, and we opted for the specials, which were excellent and generously portioned. What surprised us most was how kid-friendly the pub was. Dining out with young children can sometimes be challenging, but the atmosphere was welcoming and relaxed, making it an enjoyable experience for the whole family. Great food, good portions, and a family-friendly environment—we'll definitely be back.

Just the complimentary itself make me wanted more, the food was delicious and the service was great.

We had scallops, chicken, duck and rack of lamb. All cooked perfectly with delicious sauces. Plenty of gluten free options. Hidden gem.

My family and I had a great experience at The Brown Morel. The building is very well maintained and has that feeling of stepping into a preserved piece of time. It was very clean, service was really good, the food was solid, and the wait time was minimal. Mares was my server My wife and son both had the fish and chips. My son gave it two thumbs up, and my wife thought it was really good and well presented. My daughter had the seafood chowder and said it was really good. I had the double captain—it had some heat to it, but it was really good. I’d recommend this place to any traveler. We saw both locals and tourists here, and it had a great atmosphere. The rest of the restaurant had a bit of a magical feel to it. When you pay just go to the counter.
