A two minute divert from the M6 motorway provided one of the best lunches I've had in years. So taken was I that I forgot to take photos of the beautiful Carrot&Coriander soup (Wha' happened the universal《in Ireland》vegetable soup???!!!) and the absolute plateful of tender, juicy carved rib of beef, served with loads of mash potato and four lovely fresh veg, plus a homemade Yorkshire pudding. Delicious!
The Lady from Clare had the soup plus the chicken fillet burger which she loved, with its slightly spicy dressing and very tasty potato chip/wedgie things (pictured in other reviews here).
Service was friendly and top notch - I told our server he had to be a mind-reader!
I can't really say any thing about the atmosphere since we were stragglers as far as lunchtime was concerned, and most people had left or were leaving shortly.
Loads of parking space. Fabulous lunch. Back on the motorway in minutes.
I'll be back...
Brilliant all round.
The staff are wonderful and welcoming.
The food is delicious, always.
They look after my elderly parents as if they were family.
The place is full of history, my kids had their special days out there, before it was Brownes.
5 of us ate breakfast here recently, had a mix of the full Irish and the avocado on sourdough. the food was amazing. I had the full Irish, perfect tasty breakfast, Some of the lads had the avocado which looked and I heard tasted amazing with lots of bacon. Well done Brownes...the 5 of us were delighted. Great staff.
Call in today for lunch, we had really good food and the staff were very friendly would definitely recommend a visit, we will certainly call back.
