We recently ordered a cake from Amoretto in Carlow, and it was an absolute hit! Nicoly was a total star, so lovely to work with, attentive to every detail, and really brought our vision to life. My son asked for a Farm bounty cake, and wow… it was delicious! The flavour was spot on: rich, moist, and perfectly balanced. All the kids and teachers at his preschool loved it, and I was lucky to bring a piece home. Even my husband, who usually only goes for the classic cream-and-jam type of cake, couldn’t stop talking about how much he loved it. Highly recommend Amoretto for any special occasion - truly fantastic service and even better cake!

Talbot Hotel Carlow

15/12/2025: Only stayed one night here(Sunday night)and was really impressed . Beautiful hotel and all its staff were very friendly and professional. Had a beautiful carvery lunch (roast turkey) it was delicious and plentiful and very reasonably priced. Breakfast in the morning was as good as I ever had in any hotel I've stayed. Will definitely be returning .
14/12/2025: Overall it's pretty good. Sometimes the service was a little slow with staff chatting amongst themselves. Rooms were serviced very regularly to a good standard.

07/05/2025: Everything on the menu is just amazing, coffee is always beautiful and staff are just so lovely. Love coming here for a treat. Everything is so fresh and always stunning.
14/03/2025: Good food, good spot. I actually just discovered it last week and had the muscle builder's salad which was great. Paid €9.80, enjoyed it and thought I'd come back every Friday as I am in the area then. Went in today, ordered the exact same thing was was told it was €15.50. I said to the lady at the till that I paid €10 for it last week and she just said "prices have gone up". Not sure I can justify a 50% price increase in 1 week but it's still a good spot with nice food.
