Cafe de Mode in Ballon

Café de Mode and its owner, Dave, delivered some fantastic cakes (including for our gluten free family members) and coffees. We arrived only about 25 minutes before closing, but we didn’t feel rushed at all, and were encouraged to stay until we’d finished. Dave chatted with us a bit about the area, gave us a few dinner recommendations in Killarney, and was generally a great time. He also reminded us of David Tennant, so that was fun too 😊

Lovely quirky little cafe just off the Main Street in Ballon opposite the church. Def worth a little detour. Limited menu but divine desserts! Also had a lovely toastie. Waitress was very pleasant.

Friendly staff, great sandwiches, nice atmosphere. Do not miss this experience when passing through Ballon. Never disappointed. New items added to the menu. They just keep improving.

Amazing cafe, absolutely 10/10. Lovely decor and vibe and the food and coffee is the best I've ever had. Particularly the GF! So many options and so good!!

We had a beautiful breakfast pancakes with crispy bacon and maple syrup and a large pot of tea ☕.
