Cafe Goa in Waterford

The food here was absolutely beautiful. One of the tastiest Madras curries I have ever eaten, and the butter chicken was to die for. The naan was also tasty, thin and fresh, just the way we like it. The icing on top however, was the waitress. I didnt catch her name, but she was attentive, kind and fast. She made us feel at ease when our 6 mth old became a little upset due to missing naps with travelling, and made sure we had everything we needed. I would 100% return here given the chance, for both the food and the service.

I was struck by the friendliness of the servers and owner. They make a lot of authentic Indian recipes and spices in house, leading to a traditional taste you won't find elsewhere in Waterford. The atmosphere will continue to draw me back as a place where I can enjoy a relaxed evening with a few friends.

First time having Indian food in a while and this place was amazing food was perfect everything we had was delicious and served quickly and together.

Would get a complete 5 star review but had to downgrade a bit because we ordered a butter chicken which is listed as very mild. However, while the sauce was mild, the chicken must’ve been covered in something spicy and was unfortunately inedible for our son who doesn’t like any heat at all. Onion bhaji are tasty but seemed slightly undercooked as well. Staff are wonderful and the rest of the food was absolutely delicious.

Cafe Goa has a great location and a relaxed, casual vibe that makes it a nice spot. The food is okay—not bad, but nothing particularly memorable. Overall, good experience.
