Cafe Rose in Portumna

The best coffee in town! Advising for all visitors.

I had lunch in this nice, small and efficient restaurant. The staff was friendly, the food good and the atmosphere pleasant. Lots of local customers which is always a good sign.

This is a wonderful, intimate cafe with excellent food right in the middle of Portumna. The staff were friendly and efficient, and Paul, the owner, was exceptionally kind in taking the time during a busy lunch hour to help our group find transportation to Galway when our original plans proved untenable. We couldn’t be more grateful. We left the Rose Cafe with a hearty meal under our belts and a transportation plan. Paul wouldn’t let us offer an extra tip, which says a lot about the cafe’s orientation toward customer service and satisfaction. Highly recommended on all counts!

Best porridge with fruit I’ve had. Met a friend recently and we both enjoyed a great chat and delicious breakfast. Lovely coffee. Really enjoy Cafe Rose when I am in Portumna.

We came in looking for the full irish. They don't do it but offered something similar. It was the best breakfast of the week. Great place!
