Cafe Rose in Portumna

If you’re in Portumna, Café Rose is not to be missed! Even though we arrived close to closing, the staff were so welcoming and more than happy to accommodate us. The tuna pasta special, recommended by the lovely team, was delicious, and the coffee cake (made by a local baker) was divine. Such a wonderful experience from start to finish. We’ll be back. 😊

En route from Galway, we called into the Cafe Rose for lunch. I had exactly what is in the photo - bagels, cream cheese, cherry tomatoes and a generous pot of tea. It was delicious, freshly made right in front of us. The cakes are all home made, which I find increasingly uncommon in cafes. The atmosphere here is very warm and a real genuine interest in the customers is very evident. Staff are really efficient and extremely friendly. No issue to change an item from the menu. Well done. Will definitely call again when in Portumna.
