Camile Thai in Dublin

I was really disappointed with the service this evening. I was told my order would be ready for pickup at 5:50 pm, but I ended up waiting in the shop until 6:15. The place was packed with other unhappy customers, all waiting well past their pickup times. The most frustrating part was that no one from the staff acknowledged the delay or apologized. They just kept taking more orders, even though they were clearly overwhelmed. To make matters worse, the quality of the order itself was disappointing. The duck was mostly fatty skin, and the side portion of massaman curry barely filled a quarter of a small container—it wasn’t enough to cover even a small portion of the noodles I ordered. As a regular customer, I've come to expect better from Camile, but after this experience, I’ll be looking elsewhere for Thai food and better customer service. UPDATE: An employee from Camile Shankill got in touch with me to offer an apology for the poor service on the night and provided me with credit for the full amount of the order I had placed. I always think it is a good customer experience when the restaurant actually care about poor reviews and make an effort to contact the customer to resolve the issue and offer an apology and/or explanation. For that reason I have changed the rating to a positive one which is more reflective of my usual experience with Camile Shankill.

Very easy to order on their website, delivery time was reasonable (45mins) but wasn't quite accurate as they were about 5mins late but it's obviously down to traffic at the time. The food was very carefully packed in containers, kept very hot whilst travelling & each bit of it tasted absolutely delicious. Highly recommend it.

The best Thai around. It's worth it for the crackers alone! The specials are great value.
