Camile Thai in Dublin

This is the second time I have used Camile Thai Shankill to cater a party at home. The food and service were excellent on both occasions. The team arrived promptly, set up and returned the following day to remove the equipment. Everyone commented on the quality of the food and really enjoyed it.

The quality in Camile shankill has really gone downhill recently. Especially in the Khao pad nua which used to be my favourite dish from here. Either they’ve changed the formula or they just put too much sauce in it now but it doesn’t taste good anymore. It feels like I’m eating a stew with the amount of sauce and it’s not okay when just the dish alone plus delivery costs 22 euro. I’ve recently tried it in a different Camile and it tasted exactly how it used to so it must be the new chefs

Today was my first time ordering & the food was delicious & such good value. The man who was on the front desk couldn’t have been nicer too! Absolutely will be back. Thank you

I was really disappointed with the service this evening. I was told my order would be ready for pickup at 5:50 pm, but I ended up waiting in the shop until 6:15. The place was packed with other unhappy customers, all waiting well past their pickup times. The most frustrating part was that no one from the staff acknowledged the delay or apologized. They just kept taking more orders, even though they were clearly overwhelmed. To make matters worse, the quality of the order itself was disappointing. The duck was mostly fatty skin, and the side portion of massaman curry barely filled a quarter of a small container—it wasn’t enough to cover even a small portion of the noodles I ordered. As a regular customer, I've come to expect better from Camile, but after this experience, I’ll be looking elsewhere for Thai food and better customer service. UPDATE: An employee from Camile Shankill got in touch with me to offer an apology for the poor service on the night and provided me with credit for the full amount of the order I had placed. I always think it is a good customer experience when the restaurant actually care about poor reviews and make an effort to contact the customer to resolve the issue and offer an apology and/or explanation. For that reason I have changed the rating to a positive one which is more reflective of my usual experience with Camile Shankill.
