This beautiful country house is just 10 minutes away from Letterkenny situated on the lake . The views are magnificent and the surrounding area is definitely worth checking out. Just to be clear, this is a traditional Irish country house with open fires , cozy atmosphere and great hospitality. There is plenty of comfortable seating areas throughout the house and lots of reading materials. The service is great, people are friendly and you will feel welcomed. Make sure you book your dinner, you won't be disappointed. A perfect place to get away from busy city life and just to relax.

Castle Grove Country House is my favourite Irish country home sitting on the shores of Lough Swilly in Co Donegal. You arrive a stranger and leave as a friend. The warmth of the welcome is unrivalled; the beauty of this historical home to the Sweeney family is captivating and I love to call it my home away from home. Eat here, drink here and sleep here while you experience Donegal - my favourite destination in the world.

Stayed here last night and it was exceptional. The service was top notch nothing was a bother, food and drinks even better. Lovely relaxing atmosphere with old style decor. The rooms are beautiful and the grounds even nicer. We cannot wait to return. Thanks Caroline for a night we will remember.
