Promising myself I was going to stop at some point to have a cuppa here and today, under a sunny sky, is the day ♡
Beautiful, quaint little hidden gem with a fabulously friendly lad serving me..
Had a panini and tea and it was the best panini I have had in such a long time..
Perfect. Chunky limerick ham, cheese, onion and spinach and toasted just perfectly..
Will definitely be recommending..
Honestly I don't know how or why I didn't notice Castleview before, and I'm always walking up and down at Nicholas Street. That day, a friday, was different because I had attended the Limerick Literary Walking Tour (part of the Lifelong Learning Festival) and a lady told us she had just bought a small pot of honey produced locally.
Like, I knew the place! But for some reason, I never really paid much attention to it. That's when I thought, I'll go there.
So yeah, I went, what lovely place! (I should have taken more photos, when I come back there I will some and add here later) I asked for a hot chocolate, it was cheap (€3.20) and really good. The lad who prepared my order was very friendly (I forgot his name, sorry man) but it was an excellent service.
They say "🌼 100% Local. 100% Honey. 100% Delicious. 🌼" and I agree 100%.
Anyway, I had a great time drinking my hot chocolate side by side with King John's castle 🏰
